A few years ago, I found myself in a familiar situation, one I had seen play out in homes, small shops, and even institutions.
The electricity bill had come in. It was higher than expected. Again.
But the real problem wasn’t the cost.
It was the question that always followed: “Where is all this power going?”
No one had a clear answer.
Not the shop owner trying to keep his business running. Not the household managing monthly expenses. Not even technicians on the ground.
And that bothered me.
Because I had spent years working around energy systems, electronics, and real-world installations. I knew one thing for sure electricity isn’t random. If something is consuming power, there’s always a reason.
The issue was simple: people just couldn’t see it.
The Moment It Became Personal
At some point, this stopped being an observation and became a challenge I couldn’t ignore.

I remember working on small electronics and IoT projects, experimenting with sensors, microcontrollers, and data systems. I kept asking myself:
If we can track so many things in real time… why not energy? And why not in a way that actually works for our environment?
Not in theory. Not in expensive imported systems. But something practical. Something local. Something that makes sense for the way we live and work.
That’s where the idea for Mango Meter started forming.
Building Something That Didn’t Exist (At Least Not Here)
The early days were not pretty.

I didn’t have a polished product. I had components, wires, and a lot of trial and error.
Some days the readings didn’t make sense. Other days the system would just fail completely. Communication between devices was unreliable. Power environments were inconsistent, which made everything harder.
But every time something broke, it forced me to understand the system better.
I wasn’t just building a device I was learning how energy behaves in real, imperfect conditions.
And slowly, things started to come together.
A working prototype. Then a more stable version. Then something I could actually install and test in real environments.
That was a turning point.
Because for the first time, I wasn’t guessing anymore. I could see the energy.
What Mango Meter Really Is
At a technical level, Mango Meter is a smart energy monitoring system.

But that description doesn’t capture what it actually means.
What it really does is simple: it gives you visibility.
It shows you:
- How much power you’re using
- When you’re using it
- Where inefficiencies might be happening
And it does this in real time.
Whether it’s a small shop, a household, or a larger setup, the idea is the same turn electricity from something abstract into something you can understand and control.
I built it to work with the realities around us:
- Unstable power conditions
- Cost sensitivity
- The need for simple, practical solutions
- Limited access to advanced infrastructure
This wasn’t about building the most advanced system. It was about building the most useful one.
The First Time It Clicked
One of the most rewarding moments wasn’t technical it was human.
After installing an early version, a user noticed something unexpected. A device they assumed was “normal” was actually consuming far more power than it should.

They changed how they used it and immediately saw the difference.
That moment stayed with me.
Because that’s when I realized: this isn’t just about data. It’s about decisions.
When people can see what’s happening, they act differently. They optimize. They adjust. They save.
And suddenly, energy is no longer a mystery.
Beyond Monitoring: Where This Is Going
Mango Meter is just the starting point.
The bigger vision is not just to monitor energy but to make it intelligent and actionable.
I see a future where:
- Homes automatically adjust usage based on patterns
- Businesses optimize operations using real energy data
- Off-grid systems become smarter and more efficient
- Energy decisions are driven by insight, not guesswork
There’s also a deeper layer to this economic impact.
When a small business can manage its energy better, it can stay open longer. When costs are predictable, planning becomes easier. When inefficiencies are removed, margins improve.
This is how technology translates into real-life impact.
Why I’m Still Building
If you look at Mango Meter today, it’s still evolving.

Current Mango Meter look, with a more advanced interactive dashboard.
There’s more to refine. More to scale. More to learn.
But the mission hasn’t changed.
I’m building this because I’ve seen the gap firsthand. I’ve seen how something as simple as not knowing your energy usage can affect decisions, income, and growth.
And I’ve also seen what happens when that gap is closed.
A Simple Belief
At the core of everything I’m doing is one belief:
People shouldn’t have to guess when it comes to something as important as energy.
Not in their homes. Not in their businesses. Not anywhere.
Mango Meter is my way of solving that one system, one user, one insight at a time.
And this is just the beginning.
