As a decentralized lottery protocol, Aolotto’s anonymity features help protect user privacy but also pose certain challenges. For instance, the winner of Aolotto’s second-round jackpot has not yet claimed their prize. We are unable to verify the winner’s identity or confirm whether the winner still holds the private key to the address, which has created difficulties in distributing the prize.

Solution

To resolve this issue, we initiated a community poll on the Aolotto Discord server to address such situations.

The poll results showed that the majority of the community members favored using the unclaimed prize for dividends, in line with Aolotto’s commitment to transparent operations. Based on this, the official decision has been made to upgrade the protocol with the following measures:

1. The jackpot prize will have a 3-month claim validity period starting from the drawing date.
2. Any unclaimed prize after the deadline will be automatically transferred to the dividend pool and will be 100% fairly distributed among $ALT holders.
