Meant to Be: Trusting God’s Plan Through Love and Prayer
If something is meant to happen, no matter how much time you lose or how far you drift from the situation, if God has written it in your destiny, it will happen. Because God has already written it — no one has the right or the power to stop it from unfolding.
I have witnessed moments where everything changes — when sincere prayer makes the impossible, possible. Prayer works when the intentions are pure and come from a genuine heart. When you ask God, He hears you. He answers according to His will. Never be disheartened if things don’t go the way you hoped, because God has different plans for our lives.
Sometimes, we end up receiving what we once prayed for, at a time when we least expect it — but when the timing is perfect. Never forget the One who gave it to you. Throughout a lifetime, a human being may pray countless times with a heavy heart, with tears, crying before the Lord. Especially when someone loves deeply, they may pray to God to keep that person in their life. When that prayer truly comes from the heart, it holds great meaning.
We all do it — pray for someone we love. But we must also be ready for the outcome. Sometimes, we may not end up with the person we love, no matter how much we prayed. But know this: no prayer is ever wasted. Every prayer molds you into a more humble, loving, and kind person.
Those prayers — spoken in love — remain with the one you prayed for. Even if you no longer speak to them, you never truly stop loving them in your heart. You can still pray for their happiness and a good life.
True love never demands possession. It gives without expecting anything in return. But even in love, you must remember yourself. Do not lose your identity or destroy yourself by holding on too tightly. Love — and let go. Because if it is meant to be, it will return in God’s perfect time.
Just be who you are. Stay grounded in faith. Never forget the Lord. He knows your heart, your intentions, and your pain. Strive always to be honest, sincere, and live with truth.
1 Corinthians 13:4–8 (NIV)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
