From her fragrant breath, the sound of music arises —

a flute melody so wondrously beautiful, it feels divine.

Is it the charming smile in her eyes —

like sunlight sparkling on precious jade?

Is it the sweet expression on her beauteous face

that casts my heart into a spellbound state?

Is it the flowing hanfu that graces her slender form?

Is it her pen-shaped fingers, creamy white and delicate,

drawing forth a stream of melodious notes —

O, the music of longing… the music of Love.

Oh me — in my wanderings, it truly seems

I’ve stumbled upon a fairy maiden one spring evening,

a playful spirit from a 武侠 novel,

who, in a fleeting moment of joy and generosity,

treats us human mortals

to the beauty…

of her music… and her presence.

…her presence…

A vision comparable… not to

the legendary beauties of long ago,

but only to herself, 芳菲,

a wonder of nature.

O 芳菲,

you are truly a mythical maiden

who moves between the worlds

of moonlight and misty heaven.
