Celebrating 11 Years of Making a Difference- Pehchaan The Street School

Pehchaan The Street School started with a vision- Education for all, irrespective of their economic background or social class. The organisation’s dedicated volunteers, interns and teachers, who share the same vision, strive to make education a fundamental right— not a luxury for underprivileged students.

This not-for-profit organisation, which had its humble beginnings with just five volunteers and ten children, has successfully completed 11 years of creating a significant impact in the lives of 1600+ underprivileged students in the Delhi NCR.

11th Anniversary Celebrations at the Indraprastha Centre

With great joy and gratitude, Pehchaan The Street School commemorated its 11 years of empowering children through education. The occasion brought together students, volunteers, supporters, interns, etc., who have been an inevitable part of this meaningful journey.

The celebration on 25 April 2026 was marked by cutting a huge 5 kg cake, baked by “House of Cakes by Netra”, the sweet gesture bringing out genuine smiles and enthusiasm in the faces of thousands of students.

“Vastra by Monty” aided the students in their learning journey by gifting them 20 beautiful laptop bags and 15 pouches. Naman Bhardwaj presented 200 drawing files to the students, providing space for their creative expressions, and Neeraj Vaid collaborated through an effective podcast feature.

Other individuals also supported the joyous occasion through their generous contributions, such as cakes of 2 kg, 3 kg and 350 sandwiches. The day which was full of excitement and pride wouldn’t have been made possible without these supporters and their thoughtful additions.

A day full of buzz and fascinating gifts

26 April 2026 brought with it even more fun and frolic as Pehchaan The Street School continued observing its remarkable milestone.

“Aromatic Pause” encouraged the volunteers by providing them with 15 scented candle packs, and “Waxify” with 10 candles as a token of appreciation for their tireless efforts in this social cause. “Zavoir” brought smiles to the faces of the volunteers by gifting them 10 combo boxes of perfumes and 10 boxes of candles.

The children realised the importance of eco-friendly products and sustainability through the considerate gift of 1600 plantable pens by “Gift One Tree”. They were inspired to get into the world of books and develop the practice of reading by the gift of bookmarks– 70 from “Action Geeks” and 25 from “The House of Muskaan”.

Additionally, “Crochet Muse” offered the students 20 pretty crochet key chains and 20 hair clips and “Handmade by Ruu”, 20 lovely flower crochet key chains. Through these gifts, they provided support beyond the classroom, making the celebration more engaging and memorable.

These acts of kindness and compassion were received with much gratitude and happiness by the students and volunteers of Pehchaan The Street School, as these wonderful additions made the 11-year anniversary really special.

These two days created a long-term impact in the journey of the organisation, its students, as well as the volunteers and contributors, as it brought their mission to life and proved to be a deeply rewarding day for the strenuous efforts of all 11 years.

Pehchaan The Street School, after 11 years, stands strong as a testament to the countless lives it has changed and the combined efforts of the community that made it possible.
