A Painful Story I Still Cry Over

There is a story inside my heart that still makes me cry today. A story that never fully left me. Even now, my chest feels tight when those memories return. It is not about love, not about friendship — it is about my past, my education, and the dreams that slipped from my hands. Sometimes I sit quietly and think, If only I had studied differently. If only someone had guided me. If only there had been a person to show me the right path. If only someone had told me how to prepare, how to focus, how to believe in myself.

Back then, I was surrounded by pressure — family expectations, fear of the future, hurtful taunts from relatives, and confusion inside my own mind. I was trying to survive, not realizing that time was slipping away. No one understood how badly I needed guidance. No one saw that I was lost, not careless. Today, when I see others achieving what I once dreamed of, a quiet pain rises in my heart. I imagine a different version of myself …. confident, successful, educated, living the life I wanted. I wonder: “If I had the resources then… would I be that person today?”

There are many secrets buried in my heart, all related to my studies, my struggles, and my silent battles. Sometimes I blame myself, thinking it was my fault. But then another voice inside me says it wasn’t only me — it was the situation, the pressure, the loneliness, the lack of support. The hardest part is that the taunts never really stopped. Even today, people remind me of what I couldn’t become, as if wounds should never heal. But what they don’t know is that I am still fighting inside, still trying to rebuild myself from the broken pieces of yesterday. This story is painful, yes — but it is also a story of survival. Because despite everything, I am still here. Still breathing. Still hoping. Still dreaming.

Maybe I did not become who I wanted to be then. But my story is not finished yet. And maybe, one day, I will become someone even stronger than I once imagined.
