Byron — Live & Let Live

Byron was a man who had grown tired of the hustle and bustle of city life. He had been on countless missions and faced many challenges, but he was ready for a change. He decided to leave the city behind and seek out a peaceful life in a small community far from the chaos.

Every morning, Byron would wake up early and go fishing in the nearby river. He found joy in the simple things, like feeling the sun on his face and the cool water rushing past his hands. He spent his days helping the local community, whether it was fixing a roof, tending to a garden, or just lending a listening ear.

At night, Byron would sit by the fire and reflect on his day. He was content with his new life, surrounded by nature and kind-hearted people. He felt at peace, finally able to leave the stress and turmoil of the city behind.

As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, Byron continued to live his simple, peaceful life. He was happy and fulfilled, knowing that he had chosen the right path for himself.

One day, an old friend of Byron’s came to visit him in his peaceful village. The friend was part of the same organization (Sentries) that Byron had worked for in the city, and he had come to ask for Byron’s help on a new mission.

Byron had an enjoyable cup of tea with a beloved old friend, but was fearful to immerse himself back into the past. After much contemplation over his friend’s words, Byron ultimately decided life in limbo wasn’t for him and chose to go back to something familiar — even if it seemed mundane.

“You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today”

One day, as he is wandering around town he interacts with other characters as usual.

— Good morning, Zack! How are you?

— Hey Byron! I’m doing well, thanks for asking. And yourself?

— Everything is as usual. I’m heading up to get some more wood for the fire. It’s freezing down here!

— Hey Byron! I’m doing well, thanks for asking. And yourself?

— Just told you… going to get some woods, you can join me if you want!

— Hey Byron! I’m doing well, thanks for asking. And yourself?

Shocked and petrified, Zack stumbled into a delirium of terror. His body shivered uncontrollably as he muttered the same phrase over and over again like an eerie mantra that looked to possess his soul — leaving Byron perplexed by what could be unfolding before him.

With a sense of urgency, Byron hurried to the Community’s doctor in an effort to discover what was wrong. To his surprise, his body trembled as he moved around and his unnatural stillness gave off a chilling feeling that there had been some kind of inexplicable malfunction within him.

Everywhere he turned in town, it was evident that chaos had taken over. Knowing the gravity of his plight and not wanting to face this battle alone, our hero hurried home hoping for assistance from some trusted comrades — The Sentries.

Everyone is glitching

As he rushes into his house, with shock, there is a small girl sitting in his chair with a strange technological device.

— You need to come with me NOW!!!

— Do you know what is going on???

— NOW!!!!
