We recently took a trip to the hill stations.

Since quite a few family members were accompanying us this time, my husband hired a travel advisor from his organization.

It provides services to officers; its responsibilities include arranging vehicles for travel, booking hotels and restaurants, and selecting venues.

So, right at the start of the journey, I realized he was quite active and attentive—something that is likely part of his job.

But soon, the excessive protocol and attention being directed at me started making me uncomfortable. That’s just how I am; I don’t like being the center of attention.

Anyway, the others noticed it too and joked that he knew I was his boss's wife.

In the end, I handled the situation by relying on my reserved nature.

On our last night, he gave me a page and told me that I had to write a review for him about the entire trip.

That’s when I understood the whole story.

My husband said that if he got the review written today, he wouldn't be worrying about tomorrow the way he used to.

I said, "No, that can't be; why would he do that?"

That’s just how I am—I always look at the positive side of things.

But this time? I’ll tell you—just be patient.

I find writing reviews and the like to be a very difficult task; anyway, long live 'Meta AI'—it stands by me through every difficulty, haha.

I just gave it a few points, and it didn't disappoint me.

It provided a really great paragraph praising Trip advisor; and indeed, it was true—he handled all the arrangements excellently, and the meals at the restaurants were superb too.

The next morning... I was left wondering: do people do everything solely for their own self-interest?

I mean, fair enough—it is his job—but to adopt such an attitude after getting the review written??

I hadn't expected this.

The person who would usually be the first to wake up and call us for breakfast just kept sleeping that day; we thought he must be exhausted.

Anyway, everyone got ready and woke him up, but he seemed like a completely different person.

At breakfast, he sat in his chair and showed absolutely no interest in the food being served.

Otherwise, for the first three days, everyone kept telling him to sit down and eat comfortably, but he would always eat last.

Seeing him that day, I kept wondering: is human behavior driven solely by self-interest?

Is everyone like that? Perhaps that is simply how it is.

I had some idea that people could be like this, but I experienced it firsthand for the first time.
