Miracle.

Reflection: Reading the Gospels. Jesus the Great Physician performed wonders and miracles. When we place our faith in Him, we see miracles still.

Scripture Reading: He is the One you praise; He is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. (Deuteronomy 10:21, NIV)

When you seek God’s presence and request Him to intervene in your situation, you can see miracles happen! God has power over all creation and has the ability to work a miracle for you. (Compiled by The BibleStudyTools Staff on 07/23/2021)

My dear reader. I can testify that Jesus the Great Physician still performs His miracles. I will not go into the details. This article is about Jesus and His miracles. This article is not about me. I prayed many years ago. It was in a small hospital chapel. On my knees, I bent low. I was quite calm considering the choice I needed to make. Before the Heavenly throne, I prayed. I honestly and confidently prayed to Almighty God for a miracle. I believed with every ounce of my being. That the One who loves me. Beyond my understanding. God Almighty heard and answered my prayer for a miracle.

I questioned not God’s answer. I hesitated not Jesus’ ability to perform this miracle. I waited patiently for my miracle. The wait was only brief. To say this miracle changed my life. Yes, in quiet and subtle ways it has. To say this miracle will never be forgotten. How can one forget a miracle? How can one forget when a prayer is answered miraculously? How can one thank Almighty God for loving us so? How long do we keep thanking Jesus for this miracle — for eternity?

This miracle occurred over forty years ago. I speak of this miracle. Jesus the Great Physician performed His miracle in answer to my prayer. The memory of it is ever so fresh. The memory of this miracle refreshes my heart with the love of Jesus. I am once more amazed by the power and the ability of prayer.

The power and the ability of prayer.

Scripture Readings: Therefore, I say unto you. What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:24, KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians 4:6–7, NIV)

For you and me. The power of prayer is a miracle in itself. We kneel before the Heavenly throne in prayer with faith and trust. Each prayer is answered. Through the sacred and divine purpose and plan of Almighty God. Each prayer is spoken with an attitude of true reverence to Almighty God. Faith that each prayer is heard, answered and received by the One who loves us. Meeting all these divine conditions, we receive the fruits of our prayer. Almighty God loves each of His people this much. Faith in God and His love brings the miracle we need.

With hearts filled with love for the One. Who sends His wonders and miracles.

Miracles from Almighty God take all forms. Miracles performed by His Son, Jesus Christ change our lives forever. Miracles are the answer to sincere and complete faith.

Scripture Reading: And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. (Mark 5:25–29, NIV)

Was this a miracle? I will leave it up to you, my dear reader to decide. For me, the miracle was the woman’s faith. “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed,” Jesus said to her. “It is your faith that has healed you.”

Have we faith in Jesus the Great Physician as strong and sure as the woman in this story? Have we? When suffering or in pain. We reach out to touch the hem of Jesus' garment. When in sadness or heartache. Do we reach for the comforting hand of our Lord and friend? Believing with all our hearts and souls. His peace will remove our sadness. Jesus’ peace will bring His love and light into our hearts. Jesus the Great Physician never changes. He is able now to perform wonders and miracles.

Almighty God sends down from Heaven wonders and miracles. These demonstrate the power of Almighty God over all creation.

In the beginning. In the first Book of the Holy Word of God. Genesis Chapter One we read the miracle of the creation story. Where the Creator in six glorious days. God spoke and everything that there is. God created out of nothing. God spoke and out of nothing all there is came into existence.

Scripture Reading: In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. (Genesis 1:1, KJV)

It is far beyond human minds to comprehend the miracle of the creation story. We are not to question this miracle. We are to accept it as sacred and divine truth. It is revealed to us by the Finger of God. The creation story is written in the Holy Word of God. The creation story is written by the Creator Himself. Every word and letter is God’s Holy Truth. Never to be questioned. Always to be believed and accepted in our hearts and souls.

Life itself is part of God’s wondrous creation story. Life itself is a true miracle. Life in its myriad forms. Even now scientists have not identified all the species of plants, insects and animals. Each one is unique. Every one designed with a specific purpose. Each one planned to work with the ones alongside it. Life on this precious planet is a miracle. Let us treat it as such. Let us protect and treat it for what it is. A miracle from its creator. A gift and a blessing from Almighty God. For us to care for and to tend to.

Conclusion. With the eyes of faith. We see miracles all around us.

• With praise and prayers of thankfulness.
• We praise the Holy Name of the One who sends these miracles.
• We praise Jesus who performs His miracles still.
• We praise and worship the Creator God
• The One who spoke His word. Out of nothing He created all there is.
