I Tried to Rush Through Swamp Thing. Then It Got Me.

I started reading the comic the Swamp Thing by Alan Moore because I was told this is where John Constantine first appears.

I had zero expectations when I first met the Swamp Thing.

Initially, I wanted to rush through the Swamp Thing to get to John Constantine.

I sacrifice surprise to optimize my experience of the who, what, when, where, and why.

I took a different approach this time. I let the story take the lead.

I realized I enjoyed learning more about him and his world.

I expected nothing and received everything I wanted in a story.

I am excited to see where I go next.
