Wrizzit is a writing site focused on community with unique tool sets to provide for building it! It’s main functionality centers around a For You feed, and The Digest:

The Digest

A Digest is a collaborative publishing group where members curate and release content together. There are three types:

Magazine: A recurring publication. Issues are released on a schedule set by the creator.

Event: One-time curated collection. The creator curates here as well and picks what goes in from among member submissions.

Open Prompt: One-time community collection. Anyone can submit.

Key Concepts

Members & Roles: Each digest has members, it’s up to the creator whether to leave membership open or approved only. Creators manage the digest, curate content, contributors submit work.

Invites & Join Requests: Creators can invite users, or users can request to join. Creators approve/deny requests if membership is not set to open.

Submissions: Members submit posts to a digest by writing a post and submitting it to a digest they’ve joined, instead of posting it onto the feed. For Open Prompts, all submissions are released on release day. For Magazines/Events, submissions are approved by the creator.

Issues: A single release, like one edition of a magazine. It contains the curated set of posts. creators create issues, add submissions to them, and release them.

Release & Auto-Release: Issues can be released manually or automatically. Creators set dates or choose when to release.

Chat: Each digest has a members-only chat room!

1. Pronoun toggle
2. Posts can be tagged with up to 3 genres (subjects and genres are filters on the main feed page for all users to see).
3. “Shelves” where readers can organize your work by any subject or genre you’ve posted in!
4. You can now award posts their own custom set of badges! (This is in addition to user badges that are already available)
