Well, I'm thinking back to last night when we were having a discussion around that table about spirits and what we want out of that kind of communication.

Communication with the spirit world isn't so difficult and unique that only a handful of people in the world can do it. There are many, many people who communicate with spirits and, in fact, I would think everybody does to some degree or another because we have that faculty. We have that ability. It is because we are spirit beings inhabiting fleshy bodies that this consciousness of spirit exists within each of us.

It's unfortunate that our kind of Western, materially oriented culture poo-poos this and says, "Well, this is unproven, you know, an unverified experience in life."

And yet, all through human history, communication with spirits has been quite normal and quite common. In fact, our culture has made it uncommon, or at least has not made it a source of truth, shall we say? So that causes everybody to doubt whether there's an afterlife, whether we continue on, whether there's a God. All of these doubts about our spiritual existence come about because of our cultural framework.

But we are of a different ilk, are we not?

We're all here saying, "Yes, spirits exist. Yes, we've had communication with spirit. Yes, spirits are around us all the time."

And what does that mean in our lives?

With that realisation, it opens up a whole spectrum of experience and understanding of what life is all about.

You know, we come to realise that this material life is only one small chapter in a very long book of existence. What we're experiencing here is an opportunity to learn and to grow, and to become who we are meant to be—our true selves.

Communicating with spirits proves to us that we are not alone. In fact, I don't think we're ever alone in our existence.

There are always spirits around us.

So the question is, who do you want to keep company with?

Do you want just Joe Schmo, Uncle Harry, or Aunt Mabel—or whoever may take an interest in you as someone they might be able to help, or someone they are drawn to? Or do you want someone higher, someone more effective in helping you grow and mature spiritually? Someone who brings the energy of Light into your life?

If we make that choice, then, of course, because of the nature of the spirit world, there are many gradients of choices we can make.

There are many different kinds of spirits. There are many different beliefs among spirits, many different realities in the spirit world, and many different gifts and capacities to support us.

And there is a very crucial element in what God created in life: the strong help the weak; those of greater Light help those of less Light; those of greater knowledge and wisdom help those who have less. They teach them.

So this carries on into the spirit world. There are many, many spirits who want to help mortals, and they are eager to do so.

So how is that connection made between us and spirit? Even though many of us aren't aware of the spirits around us or of the spirit influence that surrounds us, it still exists, and it exists by the Law of Attraction.

What we want, what we think, what we do in our lives—the energy that we transmit in our daily lives through our thinking and our actions—draws spirits to us. Often that communication is not something we're aware of in our conscious, material state. But it's still there nonetheless, and it happens every moment of our lives, whether we're awake or asleep, twenty-four hours a day.

There is that influence around everybody.

There are millions upon millions — billions upon billions — of spirits on the Earth plane. Some of them are there because they intend to help. Some are there because they are very attached or drawn to certain individuals or loved ones. Some are there because they want to cause havoc and do mischievous, even harmful, things to people.

So there's the whole spectrum of spirit, and since we are drawing them to us, what is the mechanism?

It's through thought. It's through intention. It's through desire.

So all of these things that we apply on the Divine Love journey are relevant to spirit communication.

When we think a thought, when we say a prayer, when we have an interaction with somebody else—say we're walking down the street and we connect with someone—even when we simply say hello, smile, or nod, you can bet there are a number of spirits walking with that individual. When you make a connection with them, you're also making a connection with those spirits, and sometimes those spirits will be drawn to you.

As you experience life in the material world, you're a magnet for spirits, and they will be drawn for a number of different reasons, some of which I've already indicated. They will go with whoever they feel drawn to, whoever makes that connection with them.

Many of these spirits are lost. They're often in darkness. They're in a great deal of ignorance. They're earthbound.

There are, of course, spirits who are not lost or earthbound, but who come to Earth to help.

So those are the ones we want.

Why would we want just any Joe Schmo who's looking to attach himself to someone?

So when we're open, when we're sensitive and open ourselves to this level of reality, we've got to be careful. More likely than not, if we're not careful, we're going to draw darker spirits, or at least spirits who may genuinely want to help but are not of the highest level or calibre.

Since we're dealing with our lives—our beautiful gift of life in this world—we want the highest calibre. We want the highest outcomes in our lives, and that includes the influences we have around us.

So this brings us to Celestial Angels.

The Law of Attraction works with Celestial Angels in the same way it does with any other spirit. But there's one element that ensures that connection can be made in a truly potent way: Divine Love.

So when you're praying for Divine Love, asking for It and receiving It within your soul, part of the mechanism God has put into place is that the angels are able to draw close.

They become your friends—especially if you're really dedicated. Especially if you're not just casually engaging with this path, but have dedicated yourself to receiving the Gift of God's Love.

And you know we always say that in prayer you're not praying to the angels; you're praying to God.

But the natural outcome of that prayer is that the angels are with you.

They pray with you. They reinforce your prayers. They inspire. They guide. They teach. They are with you in many different ways.

And, of course, the way they are with you is determined by your gifts. How are you able to communicate with them? What aspects of your consciousness—and especially your soul consciousness—help bridge the gap between their consciousness and yours, between their being and your own?

You've established the connection by praying for Divine Love.

But, of course, the time you spend in prayer is only a small portion of your day.

What about the rest of it?

So when you pray for guidance, when you pray that Light be around you, when you pray to be used as an instrument for God, you're actually opening the door to communication with our Celestial friends.

They are God's instruments. We are praying to become God's instruments.

So we are asking to be part of this network that God has established to bring His blessings into the world.

What is amazing about the human soul is that it is endowed with many gifts, many abilities. Those abilities are awakened with Divine Love.

When these abilities awaken, and they are combined with your own personality—who you are as an individual, what you enjoy, what you're drawn to do and to be—that whole amalgamation determines the angels who are with you.

A rapport is established between you and your angel friend, usually because there is a commonality of personality and gifts between that angel and yourself.

When these things mesh together, when they come together in a wonderful synchronicity, the communication becomes powerful and can happen over and over again.

That angel becomes a guide, and that guide becomes an important factor not only in your spiritual life, but even in your material life, because they are there with you, helping you every moment.

Not necessarily alone, of course. But that principal guide God gives you—that beautiful angel dedicated to your life—will oversee many things. They will help you in many ways. They will bring protection, insight, wisdom, and guidance.

You know, sometimes you get these ideas out of the blue. Well, where do you think that comes from? You might think, "Oh, I'm pretty brilliant! I've got this. This is a great idea." Then you apply it, it works, and it enhances your life. Well, this is often how the angels work. They're bringing impressions. They're bringing inspiration. They're helping you, even in your diet, your choices, and the important decisions of your life.

When you pray to God for help in making an important decision, who's there helping you pray? Who's there helping you understand what the most harmonious and highest decision might be?

The goal of your angel friends is to help you make the highest and best choices in your life.

When that rapport is strong, it may not mean you see them standing in front of you or communicate verbally, mentally, clairaudiently, or through any of the other "clairs." That's actually not the most common way at all. More often, you simply feel that you're living in God's grace.

Part of that grace is that your angel friends are close. They help bring that grace into your life. God gives you that grace directly, of course, but all of these energies, these blessings, this Light, come together in a multifaceted way so that the Light and grace can benefit you in ways you can consciously apply.

You're applying the Laws of Rapport and Communication in your daily life.

Just because someone like me channels messages from the angels doesn't make me any more special than someone like you who receives inspiration in your own life.

Perhaps you're inspired to compose music. Perhaps you have a gift for connecting with people, uplifting them, and helping them. There are many gifts. There are many expressions. There are many elements within each one of us.

When those gifts are combined with Divine Love, they become stronger, more potent, and more available for God to use through us. So the angels are a very powerful part of that. They are constantly with us, provided we are dedicated to this path of Divine Love and sincerely desire to receive God's Love into our souls.

I'm not sure whether any of you have had this experience, but I imagine many of you have.

When you first discovered Divine Love, it seemed like the most wonderful thing in the world. It ignited something within you. You became passionate about it. You couldn't get enough.

Then things started happening in your life. Little miracles. Blessings. You began to see that God was actively working in your life.

A great deal of that experience—what I sometimes call "God's credit card," where blessings begin to arrive almost unbidden—is actually your angel friends. They're working with you. They're helping you. They're teaching you. They're opening your eyes. They're removing the scales and saying,

"Look. This is how the Divine works with you and throughout the universe."

“We’re showing you the way."

“There will be evidence." "There will be experiences." "There will be connections." "There will be communication."

When those things happen, they reaffirm your path. You realise, "Yes, this is right.”

"This is bringing blessings." "I'm happier." "Perhaps, for the first time in my life, I feel consistently joyful."

So that, too, becomes a feedback loop. Your joy, your interest, your excitement, your enthusiasm—all of these draw the angels closer because they're also drawing you closer to God. Everything works to your benefit.

It all becomes part of a beautiful system—a recalibration of your reality.

So, as that harmony becomes more obvious to us, we begin to notice that we're happier. Our lives seem to flow more easily. Things begin happening that perhaps never happened before, or happened only very rarely. Now they become commonplace. Again, this is how the process works. This is how the angels work on your behalf.

Of course, we can be very contrary with them. I've argued with angels. I've said, "Come closer and I could do a topiary job on you." But they're very tolerant. They're very understanding. Lovely.

"How did that work for you?"

Yeah... it didn't work well at all. They just retreat a little, you know. They keep their distance because, for myself, I started on this path at a pretty young age. I was in my twenties. There were all the hormones and everything else going on, and I wanted to live my life—not necessarily in the ways the angels would have wanted me to live it. But, you know, I had to experiment. I had to test the limits. I had to see what brought harmony and what brought disharmony. And I certainly brought both to myself in many ways.

I would complain. I'd say to God, "Well, You're supposed to make my life good and all that.”

Not realising that, through my own free will, I was creating many of these conditions for myself.

I had the great benefit of Barbara, who was a medium. I think all of you have heard my stories about Barb.

We worked together, and we had a pretty loosey-goosey kind of job. Half the time we were just talking about spiritual things. Then she'd say, "Oh, I think the angels want to talk." So we'd leave the co-op office and go out to her car. We worked very close to a beach, so we'd park there, and I'd receive all these Messages. Many of them came from Augustine. He was a pretty straight shooter. He'd tell it like it was.

I'd think, "Oh... really? Oh, really?"

So they had to work hard trying to get me into shape. Believe me. I guess they realised they'd better start young with this guy, otherwise he was going to make such a mess of things that he might never get to where he was meant to be.

So yes, I've had the benefit of the angels for many years.

I've enjoyed their presence. Their company. Their friendship. Their guidance. Their Love. Their Light. Their protection. Their wisdom.

This Divine Love path isn't just one thing. It's a multifaceted journey.

Communication with the angels is part of that.
