MERL Systems Do not Guarantee Learning
As a follow-on to my earlier discussions/reflections on learning in MEL systems, both structured and unstructured categories quite matter. But neither automatically produces learning on its own. What they really do is create the conditions where learning becomes possible. They help surface data from practice and experience. Real learning happens when that data is interpreted, questioned, discussed, and ultimately used to shape thinking and decisions.
That is why MEL systems are better understood as enablers of learning, not guarantees of it. #MonitoringandEvaluation #Evidencedrivendecisions #Learningandadaptation
