Wednesday, December 18, 1991

Cold. Had hair done. Went to the bank then Acme to get cat food. Decorated the Norway pine. Looks ok. Very windy by bedtime. M. has a bad cold. S. has finals.

Sunday, December 21, 1991

Chilly. Some sun in p.m. Went to church. Not too many there. It is so beautiful inside. Surprise! R., B., DM and the girls were there. They didn’t stay to eat afterwards. Went to see B.’s mother. T. & J2 came out in the afternoon.

Wednesday, December 25, 1991

J&P came. They ate some cake here. M. & S. too. M. & S. went to M’s brothers for Christmas dinner. We went to T.’s. Nice dinner and company. A good day. Got a light for outside, Acme gift certificates, Hair gift certificates, blouse, slacks, and sweater. Nice.

Friday, December 27, 1991

Not so cold. Went to Acme. The doctor called. I think he wants me to change insulin. I have a cold. Feel bad, coughing a lot and my throat is sore.

Sunday, December 29, 1991

I cough. Didn’t go to church. R. & B. were out. She cleaned my kitchen. Nice of her.

Tuesday, December 31, 1991

Don’t feel any better, but don’t cough so much. My throat’s pretty sore. I don’t have any energy.

Not a great end to 1991 for my grandmother. She didn’t feel well enough to see the new year in, apparently. My mom and I went to her brother’s for Christmas dinner, as had become our tradition since my dad died. Their house was fun, as they had four kids and two grandkids at this point. I am so, so glad my grandmother spent christmas at her son, T.’s house. That is all that I will say about that for now. Tomorrow, we will start 1992, which is the last year my grandmother kept a diary. After her entries end, I will fill in the blanks for some of the years until her death.
