Who are the Journalists Can Shape Future of Peace? — 3rd May 2026 ‘World Press Freedom Day’

As per the report of ‘International Freedom of Journalists’

“128 journalists killed in the line of duty in 2025, and 9 have already lost their lives this year”.

This data is just grains of sand in the global arid region of suppression of true journalism.

Still with positivity, the UNESCO decided the theme of the day in 2026,

“Shaping a Future at Peace: Promoting Press Freedom”.

Thus, while focusing on practicality, the question arises who are the journalists can shape future of peace? While on 3rd May 2026 ‘World Press Freedom Day’ is observed internationally.

Journalists who can shape future of peace are –

• Those who follow certain principles and values in their life.

• Journalist whose goal is to educate masses through right information, news, views and contextual intelligence.

• In the age of AI journalists who have wisdom and provide solution-based journalism.

• Journalists who take calculative risks everyday while doing the noble job.

• Genuine journalists who support each other to make ‘press or media’ clean and trustworthy as the watchdog of the system and society.

Major hindrances of bona fide journalism are –

• Governments who repress freedom of expression or revelation of truth-by-truth seeker journalists.

• Some government servants like those who are in administration, police, cyber security departments misuse their power to curtail free voices, even when journalists, who are legally and ethically right but these stakeholders misuse their power out of jealousy, for money or other personal interests.

• Inept and immoral journalists and media houses — they are either mouth pieces of certain groups or insanely money minded to misguide people with the objective of making money using tools such as spreading lies, horror and inappropriate topics.

• Mental slave masses — they attack the journalists who are sacrificing ease of life for these idiots. These ignorant mercenarises who are enemy of true journalism are puppets of pictures on social media or even on the street, stripped dancers seeing others wealth, those who get illegal and illicit favour from the people who are misusing their authority.

The journalists who swim against all odds are bright lights to shape future of peace amid gloomy figures and poisonous honey layered characters.
