E-books: Who buys e-books in the year 2026? I used to think the same way.

In 2026, I kept asking: who buys and who reads e-books? Then I made my own e-book and started selling through Meta ads.

This is my payment gateway dashboard data. Today’s total sales are 6, resulting in gross sales of ₹594. Today is 10th August. There were 4 sales on 3rd August.

The last 7 days show 47 sales, with gross sales of ₹4,653. Revenue collected in the last 30 days was ₹17,325 in gross sales, from 175 e-book copies sold.

Now, the biggest advantage of making and selling e-books is that you don’t have to work repeatedly. Once you make an e-book in PDF format, you can sell copies again and again and generate revenue.

In July 2026, ₹17,828 gross revenue was collected from 172 sales. In June, the gross revenue was ₹16,137. Before that, in May, it was ₹16,731. And today, till 10th August, ₹6,435 has been collected.

If I take a rough calculation and assume that 50% of revenue is being generated in Meta ads, then there is also a profit of 50%. This means that while Meta ads are running, there is a profit of ₹3,200. The more sales increase, the more my profit will increase.

More than ₹1 lakh has been deposited in my account, and the payment gateway account has a balance of ₹6,241.

Making and selling e-books today, I feel, is the most profitable way to work online or make something online. You don’t have to wonder who will buy it; if your e-book has value, there are many buyers.

I have also tested this. Earlier, I also used to wonder who would buy an e-book, but many buyers are already out there.

Strategy Overview: Automating E-book Sales

Here is what we will learn: First, I will explain where we will get e-book ideas.

Many creators teach you how to make an e-book, but no one explains which topic you should make an e-book on. I’ll show you how to research topics using AI.

Then, by selecting any topic and using Cloud AI, we will build an e-book. We don’t need to do anything manually; the whole game is prompts.

Cloud will make an e-book and also prepare a sales page for us. If you sell an e-book, you will need a sales page, and we will keep a payment link on it.

When a user clicks that link and makes a payment, it will automatically take them to the thank-you page, where they can download the e-book. This whole process will run on automation.

And as far as how to generate sales and how to advertise, Cloud will run Meta ads for you. It will create campaigns, ads, and strategies for you. You have to tell the requirements.

Another important part is creating ad creatives. For that, we will use ChatGPT to create ad creatives for your e-book and use those creatives in ads.

Generating E-book Ideas Using ChatGPT

People often miss the biggest question: which digital product will I make?

If I am going to make an e-book, I have decided to launch one at today’s rate. Where will the topic idea come from, and how do I decide whether to make an e-book on it and launch it, or whether that e-book will sell?

Here, we will use ChatGPT for support. First of all, we will give a prompt like this:

“I would like to create an e-book using Cloud AI, but I don’t know what the topic of my e-book should be. I want to create something interesting. Could you please suggest some topics for the e-book that I can create?”

When you give ChatGPT a prompt like this, it will research the internet and suggest many topics. These are the topics ChatGPT has researched and found to be trending right now.

That means if you make an e-book, the chances of it selling will increase, and people will be more interested in it.

ChatGPT suggested a total of 15 topics to me, and out of those, it shortlisted 3 topics:

1. 100 problems worth building an app for.
2. The one-person AI company.
3. 50 micro SaaS you can build without coding.

I will launch an e-book with 50 micro SaaS ideas you can build without coding. Using AI, I found this topic to be a great fit, so I’ll finalise it for my e-book.

Using ChatGPT or Cloud, you can use a prompt like this to get e-book ideas.

Step 1: Creating a Digital Product Using Cloud AI

From the topic we finalised with ChatGPT, we will create it as a digital product using Cloud AI. We will open Cloud’s official website, cloud.ai, and paste a prompt like this:

“I want to create an e-book on the topic of 50 micro-SaaS you can build without coding, but I don’t know anything about these micro-SaaS ideas. I have no experience in creating e-books. I don’t know what an e-book structure should be. So, please do proper research on the internet, find the best micro-SaaS ideas, and then create a proper research on the internet and find the best micro-SaaS PDF.”

We will prompt Cloud, and Cloud will create an e-book on the 50 micro-SaaS ideas.

First, Cloud will go online and find the best 50 ideas that can be launched as a SaaS. Then, it will create an e-book and provide us with a link to download the PDF, which we will download to our computer.

Step 2: Creating a Highly Converting Sales Page

When you make an e-book, it is in PDF format. But why would someone buy your e-book? Until they know the content, users will never purchase your e-book.

So, we have a sales page. On this page, we include all the information about the topics we cover, the freebies we offer, and a Buy Now button.

Cloud will run ads for you, and when a user clicks your ad, the page will open. If they click the Buy Now button, they will automatically receive the e-book through an automation system Cloud created.

I want to design a highly converting sales page for this ebook. I am telling ChatGPT that Claude has designed an ebook, and I have attached it.

Now, I want Claude to design a sales page for this ebook that will be highly converting, and on that sales page, there will be a button labelled ‘Get this ebook’ that will be a payment button.

Also, I want a thank-you page with the ebook download link, so when someone makes a payment, they are auto-redirected to the thank-you page. The payment gateway has a feature to redirect to a custom URL after payment so that I will set the thank-you page URL there later.

ChatGPT will read this message and write a prompt based on it. We will copy it from here and paste it into the cloud so it can create a sales page for us.

A sales page is a kind of web page, a website-type page, in which all the information about our e-book is included.

It will take some time because we’ll first read and understand our e-book; then, based on it, we will write a strong, detailed prompt for the cloud. Our sales page should also reference our e-book somewhere.

ChatGPT has written a detailed prompt for the cloud. We will copy this entire prompt from here. If you have a Cloud Pro subscription, you can easily create web pages or landing pages because the cloud has a cloud design feature.

In this feature, you write a prompt, and you can design 3D websites, e-commerce stores, landing pages, animations, 3D objects, etc.

We will give ChatGPT this message: “Can you please provide me with the prompt with the click-to-copy option?”

The prompt we receive will include the click-to-copy option, so we don’t have to select the entire prompt and then copy it. The entire prompt will be copied at once, and we will paste it into Cloud Design.

When we paste a long prompt, it appears here as a file, and the prompt that ChatGPT wrote is 1240 lines long.

What is written at the very beginning of this prompt is: “I have attached an e-book titled.” In the prompt we are going to send to Cloud Design, we’ll also need to attach our PDF file.

Click the plus, go to Attach File, and attach the PDF we downloaded. We will simply click on send, and in a while, our highly converting sales page will be ready.

ChatGPT knew what type of page to design, what colour theme to use, which topics to mention, and what format to use. Cloud has prepared a great sales page where every module has been represented correctly, it has used the font combination very well, and it has also made a carousel.

Customising the Sales Page Information

Some information is still missing, which we will complete. The author details are still missing, so I can add my author photo here. I will click on Browse File and attach my photo.

At the very top, there are some fields regarding the price of the e-book you want to keep. I will type ₹99 here, so we will sell our e-book for ₹99.

If you change it to ₹49, then ₹49 will be updated. It would be better to use the Indian currency symbol (INR). While ₹49 will look better, a good e-book should cost at least ₹99.

We will provide the payment URL later and can also provide the refund policy URL.

I will write my name here in the author name field:

I also have to put the author’s short bio here, pasting something like this: “From call centre, desk to building websites, for clients, worldwide, etc.”

If you want to show the author’s section, then enable it; if you disable it, then the author’s section will disappear. Claude has also created a separate thank-you page where we’re going to add an image.

Step 3: Designing a 3D E-book Cover Photo

We will also design a real cover for our e-book in ChatGPT and upload it here. Here we will give it a prompt again:

“Claude designed an amazing sales page and thank you page. I really like it. Now a few information is missing. So let’s add it to the sales page first. Design a cover photo for this e-book with A4 sheet dimensions. Draw a cover photo for this e-book in A4 dimensions so that a vertical image can be designed. Also, put my attached photo on the cover photo. I want a 3D design of the e-book as an image with transparent background.”

I will also attach my photo using the plus so it appears on the e-book. By clicking the plus again, we will select Create Image so that ChatGPT designs the image.

ChatGPT has designed a cover photo like this, and I designed a flat one because my face was getting ruined again and again. I just downloaded it to my computer.

Now I have opened Canva, where a book mockup is available. I will go to Upload Files, select the cover photo, upload it to the media library, and drop it into the mockup so the image applies automatically.

We will download this entire mockup on our computer as an image (PNG) so it looks exactly like a real book. I want a transparent background, so I will enable it and then click Download.

Let’s go to the cloud, open the sales page, go to Browse Files, select that image, and set it here. We will attach our cover photo on the thank you page as well.

Step 4: Setting Up the Payment Gateway

What is the next step? We need to add a payment link to our page. Right now, here is the “Get this e-book” button, and if I click on it, then nothing is happening.

There should also be a link to a payment page so that when a user clicks that button, it goes directly to the payment page.

We need to sign up for a payment gateway, which is a third-party company that provides a specific link to accept online payments.

In India, there are many payment gateways, and we are going to use Razorpay here by opening razorpay.com. Provide the required details, and once your account is approved, you will see the interface.

I use two payment gateways. If I have to collect payment from an Indian customer, I use Razorpay. If I have to collect international payments, then I use the Stripe payment gateway.

Recently, Stripe was shut down in India, but those with old accounts can still use it. You can also take international payments on Razorpay, but international approval takes a little time, while domestic payments are approved very quickly.

On the left-hand side, there is an option called payment pages. We will click on this and then click on Create Payment Page.

Select the payment page option, and first, we will enter the title of our e-book in the title box: “50 Micro SAS Ideas.” Then we will briefly describe our e-book.

I will go back to the chat on GPT and write: “Can you make a list of main points that this e-book has for readers? I need 8 to 10 points.”

ChatGPT has already read our PDF and knows what has been mentioned so that it will give us 8 to 10 points. We will copy them one by one from here and put them on the Razorpay payment page as highlighted points. I have mentioned a total of 10 points here.

On the right-hand side, you will set the price in the amount field first. I chose a fixed amount and will type 99 rupees, change the label to “E-book price”, and then click Save.

What details do you want to collect from the customer? If you want to collect the customer’s first name, last name, email, WhatsApp number, and city, you will create those fields here.

By default, email and phone number fields are mandatory. To add the first name field, click the input field, select single-line text, enter the label “First name,” and save.

Click on the input field again for single-line text, label “Last name”, and save this too. First name and last name should come first, then email, and then phone number. You can change the phone number label to WhatsApp so that we can get the user’s WhatsApp number.

Click “Create and publish page,” and your Razorpay payment page has been published with a unique URL. We will paste the URL of our payment page in the button box on Claude and click “Save as default”.

Now we have a payment link in this button, so as soon as the user clicks it, they will go directly to the payment page. In Razorpay, go to Page Settings, select “Redirect to your website” under “After successful payment,” and enter the website URL. We will provide the thank-you page URL here.

Step 5: Deploying the Sales Page to a Live Domain

The fourth step is to deploy the sales page to a live domain. The domain name will be the name of your website and sales page, like babusaroj.com or babusaroj.in.

To run this sales page on the internet, you need web space provided by a web hosting company. Hostinger offers some of the cheapest and most reliable web hosting.

In the monsoon sale, the premium plan is ₹139 per month, and you will get an additional 20% discount. In this plan, you can create 3 websites, meaning you can host future sales pages or e-books without needing a separate server.

You will get a free domain name (actual cost around ₹800 to ₹1000), 20 GB SSD storage, free SSL, and free weekly backups. If you want to create unlimited websites (50, 60, 100, 150 websites), you can take the unlimited plan.

If you want to keep your sales page live on the internet for 48 months (4 years), the monthly cost is the lowest at around ₹139 per month. The total cost of 4 years is ₹7872 before the 20% discount.

If you choose 24 months (2 years), the cost is ₹4055. Sign up for your account using Gmail or Facebook, complete the payment, and Hostinger will send you a confirmation email.

Our sales page is currently running only on the cloud, and the cloud link will not work in our Meta ads, so we need a live domain.

To get a free domain name, type Hostinger.in (if you are in India) or Hostinger.com (if you are outside India), log in to your Hostinger account, click on Domains, go to Domain Search, and search for your domain name (for example, sasideas.in).
