In My Head

In My Head
A Poem

I stay in my head, Detached from the world, My eyes stare into nothing, My face expressions betray nothing, I know how to look, The most invisible, Someone who doesn’t want any conversation, A little closed off from the world, I am, Yet, my silence is still disturbed, Just for someone to ask, What is there that stays, All over your thoughts? As if I will betray, The secrets of my mind, A childish dream from the past, I like to keep it all in, Not wanting to deal with anything, That requires too many words.
I stand up in response, My thoughts don’t need the loudness, I leave once again, Trying to find a place of silence, Where I can think, All over again.
Author has something to say:
Hi, I am Farah. I write words to conquer the thoughts of my brain. I write words for when the world is too much to take. I write words when I am happy and loved. I write words, just to keep on writing.
