After Resting on the 7th Day — God Made Trump Caretaker of Mankind.

Or so say his delusional followers.

It seems the Republican machine had been primed and was waiting for someone like Donald Trump. By 2020, after four years of his erratic and indefensible conduct, he had expanded his darkness and pushed the far-right-leaning Republicans into ever-more cult-like behavior. Principles had been laid aside one after another in service to Trump’s power over his minions — a power that continues to this day.

A ridiculous religious ad that stretched the boundaries of Christian theology

In January 2024, a group of Trump’s mindless minions — calling themselves the “Dilley Meme Team” created a video that quickly made its way across the MAGA-net and was shared by Trump himself, his ‘queen of clueless’ in Congress (Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene), and Trump’s minion spiritual adviser Paula White-Cain.

Here’s an excerpt from the narrator’s voice-over on that video:

“On June 14, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker.’ So, God gave us Trump. God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, fix this country, work all day, fight the Marxists, eat supper, then go to the Oval Office and stay up past midnight at a meeting of the heads of state.’ So, God made Trump.”

This is a bizarre video — even by Trumpian social media standards. It takes cues from Paul Harvey’s 1978 “God Made a Farmer” speech and uses what sounds like Harvey’s voice (even though Harvey passed away in 2009).

This new ‘God Made Trump’ video delivers a messianic message — calling Trump “a shepherd to mankind.” It’s also nonsense in that it proclaims that Trump “finish[es] a hard week’s work by attending church on Sunday.” Trump never joined a church in Washington, D.C. — and only attended church service for self-serving purposes a handful of times as POTUS #45.

The video helped Trump as he paid particular attention to the conservative Christians during the Iowa caucuses in January. White evangelicals have historically been a key voting bloc. That was evident as Trump swept Iowa.

The loyalty of Trump’s brain-washed supporters continues to stand out. This madman inspires quasi-religious statements of devotion like “Jesus is my savior; Trump is my president” and “I stand for the flag and kneel for the cross — TRUMP 2024.” These are two slogans on T-shirts regularly sold outside Trump rallies.

The tsunami of Trump lunacy in January 2024

America can get a sense of the Trumpy-Republican bunk and bullsh@# that awaits us in 2024 by looking at some of what took place in the first month of January.

Let’s start with Trump’s Christmas/New Year message, which included the following:

“Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith, the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the SWAMP (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed WITCH HUNT against “TRUMP” and “MAGA.” Included also are World Leaders, both good and bad, but none of which are as evil and “sick” as the THUGS we have inside our Country who, with their Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more, are looking to destroy our once great USA. MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

That’s quite a heartwarming message! Perhaps Americans who haven’t yet joined the MAGA cult should read it and recognize how bananas it is that a former president and presumptive GOP presidential candidate would write something so bonkers.

In early January, Trump, on his social media site and in campaign rallies, routinely coddled the people who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. I’m referring to the mindless minions who were charged, tried, convicted, and imprisoned for their actions. Trump promoted an alternate reality wherein the attack was an inside job, and the 2020 election was stolen.

At an event in Iowa the first week of January, Trump referred to those locked up for the Jan. 6 insurrection as “hostages” — and commented that “nobody has been treated ever in history so badly as those people.”

After a sixth grader was killed and five others wounded by a school shooter in Iowa in January — and just before the Republican caucuses — GOP presidential hopefuls expressed sympathy but did nothing to suggest they would consider stricter gun laws or anything that might keep such tragedies from happening repeatedly. Trump said, “It’s horrible … but we have to get over it.”

While campaigning in Illinois in January, Trump refused to sign a decades-old pledge promising not to advocate to overthrow the U.S. government. So, we have that to look forward to if Trump becomes POTUS #47.

And swish this around in your head. The man whom a sizable majority of Republicans think is best suited to be POTUS #47 must wait for the U.S. Supreme Court to determine whether he provoked an insurrection (he did) and is therefore ineligible (that’s correct) to be on state ballots.

In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to take up his appeal on this issue, Trump commented at an Iowa rally in January: “I just hope we get fair treatment. Because if we don’t, our Country’s in big, big trouble. Does everybody understand what I’m saying?”

I’m hopeful that everyone (including all minions) does understand what Trump is spewing and how profoundly dangerous he is. Sadly, however, I’m not confident that enough people are even paying attention.

People are so complacent as to the astonishing quantity of ludicrous lies, offensive ramblings, and general mad-hatter enumerations coming from the GOP camp.

This is what 2024 will be: a near-constant thunder of hate, aggrieved hollering, and political fallaciousness. People will try to tell you both sides are the same or equally bad. Don’t believe them.

The cluelessness of Trump’s minions

Facing 91 criminal charges across four criminal indictments, Trump is about to become the presumptive GOP candidate for POTUS #47 in 2024. He is in that position due to mindless support among Republicans that is both broad and remarkably intense.

A majority of Republicans continue to believe Trump’s disproven claims that he beat Biden in 2020 — and some Trump supporters will be unwilling to accept a loss in 2024. His minions are allergic to criticisms of his record and behavior and rush to his side in the face of any legal jeopardy.

In Newton, Massachusetts, an American flag with Trump’s face hangs in the front yard of a home, with the words, “NEVER SURRENDER.”

Attendees at Trump’s rallies will wait all day in frigid cold to see him.

Supporters dismiss video evidence of his inconsistencies and echo his grievances and falsehoods.

The “Ultra MAGA” baseball cap is seen atop the heads of many of Trump’s morons at his rallies — caps that will become beloved memorabilia items.

In the deep ‘red’ states that support Trump, neighborhoods are dotted with small roadside Trump signs. But the enthusiasm of one Trump follower stands out.

His front yard has a Trump flag, as well as a “Take America Back” banner, a small Trump yard sign, and a bigger Trump yard sign. In the back are goats, chickens, a cluttered garage, and a truck with a passenger-side window film that shows Trump, brow furrowed, giving a thumbs-up.

Trump rally attendees often comment on how nice it is to be around “like-minded” people and share the energy.

Trumpsters falsely remember an economy under Trump when gas prices were lower, and their 401Ks went further. But mostly, they like Trump because he doesn’t seem like a typical politician.

An observation from one Trump minion: “How many of these career politicians would be going through what he is going through now with all the court cases and stuff when he could be sitting back with all his money? He’s putting himself on the line, he’s going through all these court cases. He’s doing it for the American people.”

From another minion in response to criticisms that Trump never finished a barrier at the U.S.-Mexico border: “If it wasn’t for Trump, that wall never would have gotten started.”

One minion drove over 300 miles for a Trump rally in New Hampshire. He wouldn’t have any say in the New Hampshire primary, but he couldn’t miss his 67th Trump rally to show his support. His jean jacket was dotted with pins of the Trump family. One button read, “Barron 2052,” referring to the youngest Trump child.
