Antilogia — country of contrasts and contradictions, forgotten in the middle of a great continent and yet somehow always present. It’s a unique blend of the old and the new, the hit and the miss — there’s no place like Antilogia.

Antilogia is a case study in democracy in the 21st century. Loudly proclaimed as a free people’s democratic republic and quick to criticise anyone who should assert the opposite, the reality is indeed something approaching an authoritarian autocratic tyranny. Nonetheless, in a stance that confounds political scientists and academics the world over, the population of Antilogia believe that they do indeed live in a free modern society and defend their lifestyle fervently. The contradictions are clear to all and yet in a strange twist of the collective conscious, Antilogia is held up to be a model.

As my alter-ego, the intrepid correspondent Knut-Lupe Trelos, I will report back on the curiosities and quirks of this large and forgotten country at the other end of a continent. These despatches are aimed at providing readers with a sense of life in this strange and yet oddly recognisable land.
