Cannabis Licensee Build Out Expectations

Build out is an opportunity for cannabis licensees to prepare for their final inspection by completing any necessary construction or final licensing requirements.

If your application is placed in a “Build Out” status, you are required to provide detailed updates of your progress every two weeks until your build out is complete and ready for a final inspection. Examples of necessary updates may include:

• Detailed pictures and explanation of construction progress
• Receipts for services or construction materials
• Emails or other communication with contractors, city or county officials, etc.
• An estimate of when you anticipate being ready for a final inspection

Failing to provide updates may result in the withdrawal of your application.

It is in your best interest to get building permits and plan for changes before applying.
