Day 2 : A Quiet Place

Last night I had a zoom call with my friends. This meeting aims to practice our speaking. So there is a question that should be answered. As it happens, I was getting a question about describing what a quiet place is and where it is. Directly my mind goes to a place that is close to my house. I want to describe this place to my readers.

But before that I want to give some parameters on why a particular place can be a place which I called ‘a quiet place’.

First, it provides me with a peaceful feeling. Living in the world that is full of hecticness, bustling, hassle, makes me realize if I need this kind of place to let all this overwhelming feeling. Second, it heals and recovers my soul. Due to my introverted personality, I really need a place that can heal and recharge my soul, when I can’t get it in a crowded place. So this place is playing an important role because I can feel recharged whenever I go to this place.

The place that I mean is the rice field. It’s not literally inside of it haha. It’s pretty close with my house, estimated 2–3 minutes by riding. This place has a broad rice field. Between one and another rice fields are separated by a small road. The road is not that small, maybe one car can go through the way. Houses are far apart from this place. You can see the sky very clearly without any blocks. You also can hear natural sounds such as birds’ voices, wind, irrigation water, fields of rice that are blown by the wind.

I don’t know why, but whenever I go to this place, I feel alive. Like a phone with 10% battery power and when charged it boosts to 100%, I feel like that. Sometimes I also scream to let all the loads that have settled to go fly with the wind.

I have a big wish for this place. Hopefully there is no development or construction. The people who have the rice field will never sell this place to anyone. So I can enjoy the place whenever I want until forever (as long as I am still on this earth).

It is one of the places to save my core memories here, I will cherish this constantly.
