What Is Claimzi?
Flying is supposed to be simple.
You book a ticket, show up at the airport, get on a plane, and end up somewhere else. That’s the agreement we all silently make when we travel. Most of the time, it works well enough that nobody thinks about it.
Until it doesn’t.
A delay turns into hours. A cancellation appears on the screen with no explanation. You’re left standing in a terminal full of tired people, all asking the same questions and getting the same vague answers.
If you’ve flown more than a few times, this probably sounds familiar. What’s less familiar is what usually comes next: nothing. People sigh, complain a little, rebook if they can, and move on.
What most passengers never find out is that, in many cases, they were legally entitled to compensation.
And yet, almost nobody claims it.
Not because they aren’t eligible. But because the system quietly encourages them not to.
Airlines don’t need to openly deny passenger rights. They just need to make the process confusing enough. Long forms. Legal language. Slow responses. Rejections that don’t really explain anything. Eventually, most people give up. They’re busy. They’re tired. They have better things to do than argue with an airline over a flight that already ruined their day.
That’s the problem Claimzi was built to solve.
Claimzi exists because a right that’s too frustrating to use isn’t much of a right at all.
We didn’t start Claimzi because we’re passionate about paperwork or legal disputes. We started it because we kept seeing the same thing happen: passengers losing time, money, and energy — while airlines quietly benefited from the fact that most people won’t push back.
So we built something simple.
You tell us about your flight. We check whether compensation laws actually apply. If they do, we take over. We contact the airline, handle the paperwork, and push the claim forward. If the airline refuses without a valid reason, we escalate. If legal action is needed, we handle that too.
You don’t pay anything upfront. You only pay if the claim succeeds.
That’s it.
This isn’t about fighting airlines for the sake of it. It’s about restoring a bit of balance. Airlines are large companies with legal teams and systems designed to protect their interests. Passengers are individuals who just want to get where they’re going. When something goes wrong, the scales are already tilted.
Compensation laws exist to correct that imbalance. Claimzi exists to make sure those laws actually work in real life.
This blog exists for the same reason.
We’re not here to overwhelm you with legal jargon or pretend every delay guarantees a payout. Some situations genuinely aren’t eligible, and we’ll say that when that’s the case. But we do believe passengers deserve clear, honest information — not vague explanations designed to make them stop asking questions.
So here, we’ll talk about what your rights really are. When compensation applies. When it doesn’t. And what actually happens behind the scenes when flights go wrong.
If you’ve ever walked out of an airport wondering whether what just happened was fair, you’re not alone.
And that question — that quiet feeling that something isn’t quite right — is exactly why Claimzi exists.
