Installation

sudo apt install dirbuster

If DirBuster were installable through apt-get, you would run it from the terminal with:

Alternative Download and Setup

Since DirBuster is not available via apt-get, here’s how you should actually proceed after installing Java:

  • Visit the OWASP official DirBuster Project page or go directly to its GitHub repository to download the latest version.
  • Unzip the downloaded file to your desired location.
  • Run DirBuster with the following command from the directory where you unzipped it:

Recording Results:

  • All discovered paths are logged, including their response codes. DirBuster can also provide a graphical representation of the discovered directory structure.
