There are numerous strange phenomena that have been witnessed in the Baciu Forest. These have turned into stories because they are truly shocking and sometimes hard to digest. However, the strange phenomena have not ceased to exist in this magical place near Cluj.

In the heart of Transylvania, in a timeless world, lies probably the most mysterious place in Romania. The area became famous worldwide only in 1968, but the locals had been avoiding it, knowing the inexplicable phenomena that occurred there.

An atypical world with strange feelings

One of the most well-known stories from the Baciu Forest is that of a strange, inexplicable world! It was known from ancient times that once you entered this forest, the rustling coming from another world would awaken shivers in everyone’s subconscious. Furthermore, those who entered the forest for various reasons experienced something. Right from the entrance to the forest, people felt nausea, vomiting, anxiety, and skin burns.

A true research effort was carried out by biologist Alexandru Șift. On each trip into the forest, he was accompanied by shadows. He managed to take several photographs, in which, besides the shadows, lights and silhouettes appear — things the human eye cannot capture.

Surprising Appearances

In August 1968, technician Emil Barnea managed to photograph a UFO, a photo later classified by experts as the clearest one.

The Baciu Forest is famous for its appearances. Immaterial or material structures of various shapes appear in films or photographs taken by curious visitors. Some esotericists speak of spirits inhabiting parallel universes. Following this, there are magnetic anomalies, fluctuations in the electromagnetic field, and infrasound emissions.

Among the most shocking manifestations are the marks that appear on the ground, right before the eyes of visitors. The plants show signs of dehydration, burns, and necrosis on stems and leaves. People passing through the active areas find themselves with skin burns, irritations, and headaches. The most typical appearances are those that occur in the sky. Suddenly, geometric figures in the form of cones, cylinders, and spheres appear, flying above the forest.

An interesting fact is that most UFOs are not visible, but they appear in films and photographs. Experts say this forest is unique in the world. The appearances that cause the most fear are humanoid ones. It seems that there are human heads everywhere in the forest, lurking from the invisible. Most of these have been observed in photographs. Furthermore, some photos have even identified people who were deceased.

Another aspect is related to the transitional states between gamma and beta radiation, amplified by magnetic distortions often associated with the appearance of humanoid, translucent figures that are white in color. There is a consensus among parapsychology experts who claim that the Baciu Forest is an interdimensional gateway, through which the spirits of the deceased or reincarnated can enter the material-physical dimension of planet Earth.

The Baciu Forest is considered the most important area for paranormal phenomena.

Is there a gateway to a parallel universe in the Baciu Forest? Physicist Michio Kaku believes that our universe will end in a freeze. We can save ourselves if we can transition to a parallel universe.

The version of the multiverse theory suggests that there is at least one universe very close to ours, perhaps just a few millimeters away. This scenario might be possible, with certain effects, especially gravitational, a transition beyond which could be responsible for the creation of dark energy and dark matter, which represent 96% of the universe.

According to experts, the graviton can leave our three-dimensional universe because the vibrating string from which it is made is not fixed to the membrane of our universe. Parallel universes cannot be directly detected because, unlike the graviton, light cannot leave our world, so parallel universes are invisible to us.

Stories from the Baciu Forest, the headless body

No matter how beautiful the multiverse scenario may be, we observe that some consequences of its possible existence are quite uncomfortable. The reason can even be concerning, because if these universes are in motion, there is a possibility that they may collide. In fact, there is a theory that suggests the Big Bang is nothing more than the result of a collision between two membranes or two parallel universes.

Equally strange are several other photographs taken in various places in the Baciu Forest. In a few of these, taken on May 23, 1977, researcher Dan Coman appears, photographed “in flesh and bones.” The oddity of these photographs only became apparent after they were developed, when a strange luminous shape, resembling a wing, appeared next to the man.

Also, at a distance of a few meters, another luminous shape appeared, vaguely resembling a multi-headed dragon. What is truly unusual is that, despite it being a sunny day, and all other visible objects in the frame casting their usual shadows, the researcher’s shadow was completely missing from the frame. Among the strangest photographs taken in that area is one where, hidden in the grass, the severed head of one of the researchers clearly appears. This is even more bizarre since he was also in the area, but at a distance of several hundred meters, hidden behind a terrain elevation.

“Third-Grade” Encounter and Other Oddities

In his work Phenomena from the Hoia-Baciu Forest, researcher Adrian Pătruţ extensively describes a third-grade encounter reported to him by A.S. and his wife, V.S. The couple shared that, while on a trip near Cluj on July 20, 1968, they were using a powerful binocular to look at the edge of the Hoia Forest, located about 250–300 meters away. There, they saw four beings with an unusual, but clearly humanoid appearance. Compared to other known objects, the height of these four humanoids was estimated to be about 1.3–1.4 meters.

After about five minutes, the couple noticed a glowing balloon-like object in the sky, situated about 100 meters above the ground, moving at around 30–40 kilometers per hour. Once it reached the location above the four humanoids, the strange balloon ejected “one after another, at very short intervals” five smaller spheres, with a faint luminescent outline. Midway through their descent, these spheres became invisible, just like the large balloon from which they came. At the same time, the four humanoids on the ground were enveloped by almost translucent bells, which in a few seconds began to rise into the air along with the humanoids. A few meters above the ground, they completely disappeared.

Photographs of many “invisible” UFOs show them surrounded by a black aura, which often extends from them in the form of filaments of varying thicknesses. All of this surprisingly resembles “black light,” a special form of matter or energy that is said to have been created in recent years in various ultra-secret military laboratories. This is one of the most fascinating stories from the Baciu Forest.

Stories from the Baciu Forest, Active Zones

Research conducted by Cluj locals for over three decades has shown that the Baciu Forest is not the only “sensitive” area. The phenomenon of “invisible” UFOs has also been detected in the Făget Forest, at the Botanical Garden, and near the Central Cemetery in Cluj. Within the Baciu Forest, there are several zones considered by Cluj researchers to be “particularly active.” One of these is the so-called “Round Glade,” a circular clearing located almost in the center of the forest. Numerous recordings have also been made on Hoia Hill, in Hăitaș Valley, and at the Gura Baciului point.

In addition to these heavily “traversed” areas, photographic records of “invisible” UFOs have been made in several other clearings within the forest, as well as among the trees. Even though these “presences” cannot be seen with the naked eye, detailed investigations of the places where photographic evidence has been captured have shown that these locations have higher-than-normal levels of radioactivity, beyond what is naturally present in any environment.
