A mid-summer check-in

I’m unemployed. Pretty sure that’s the meaning of life.
It’s summer thunderstorms in Islamabad. I’ve been having so much fun sleeping.
I wake up for morning prayer without an alarm, read, drink tea, go out with my friend and family, and talk to my favorite people. I’m so grateful for this little life.
I turned thirty this summer. My eldest sister gifted me a gold ring. She’s like my second mom honestly.
My 6-month-old niece came to stay with us for over a week. She’s such a foodie.
I started azelaic acid and it’s doing wonders for my skin.
Iran-US conflict has become a frozen war.
My friend (who lives some 8500 km away) visited Islamabad in my birthday month. He works Mon-Wed. We talk all day the rest of the week.
Obsessing:
Mangoes. Just Kids by Patti Smith. Infinity by The xx. Azelaic Acid. Laniege milk toner. Silk PJs. Walks. Cold room. Chirping birds. International Relations articles. Crisps and juice. Oiling my cuticles.
