DJ Khaled Announces New Album ‘Aalam of God’ With Film Trailer Starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos

DJ Khaled has officially announced his fourteenth studio album, Aalam of God, set for release in 2025 through We the Best/Republic Records. True to his larger-than-life style, Khaled unveiled the album’s news with an epic, seven-minute movie trailer starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos. In the trailer, Khaled and Ramos are on the run with a copy of the album, which Khaled teases will feature two tracks with **Drake**. Wahlberg’s character is seen over FaceTime, directing his henchmen to hunt down Khaled and get the album back — only for the plot to take an unexpected twist, with Khaled escaping unscathed.

In the trailer, Khaled also gives a nod to the album’s significance, telling an associate, “Do me a favor, send Rihanna the record,” as he boards a private jet on his way to the studio. Khaled compared Aalam of God to Jay-Z’s **The Black Album**, which was originally thought to be Jay-Z’s retirement record. However, Khaled clarified that while this isn’t his final album, it holds a similar weight: “This is not my last album, it’s my Black album,” he stated.

The album title, Aalam of God, is a tribute to his five-year-old son, Aalam, and has a deeper meaning rooted in Arabic. Khaled explained that the title translates to “the world of God,” referring to the universe or realm under God’s dominion, with “Aalam” meaning “world” or “universe” in Arabic.

Though news of Aalam of God has been circulating for years, it was initially announced under the title Til Next Time, with Khaled sharing a teaser trailer for the album in August 2023.
