Hiring Is Execution. Alignment Is Strategy.
Where do we unknowingly break employee trust? Often, it starts even before Day 1 — at the stage of understanding what the business truly needs.
The HRBP role is strategic. It is about aligning business goals with the right talent, structuring teams thoughtfully, and defining success clearly. But in many organizations, especially fast-growing sectors, hiring speed sometimes overtakes hiring clarity. Reports from TeamLease and LinkedIn India highlight that skill mismatch remains a major challenge, and early attrition is often linked to unclear role expectations and poor alignment.
When business requirements are not deeply discussed and translated correctly, roles get filled but outcomes don’t improve. The issue isn’t talent availability — it’s alignment. If HR and business are not on the same page about what success looks like, the new hire walks into confusion. That’s where trust begins to weaken.
This is not about blame. It’s about collaboration. Because hiring is execution — alignment is strategy.
