Battery swap, fast refueling and lower purchase price EVs on the market?

Swap in minutes for a swap fee of $10 plus $8.00 for fuel every 200 miles. The swap fee pays for the battery.

Sodium batteries are projected to cost 70% lower than LFP batteries by 2029. Sodium batteries now have an expected life of more than 2 million miles. Assuming the vehicle life of 200,000 miles you could reuse the battery in 10 cars. Or, share that battery with 10 cars.

When you swap a battery for a fast recharge, you pay for the fuel. Why not also pay for the use of the battery over time?

So the EV price assumes a cash flow from battery swap that pays for the battery over time. Assume the same battery is swapped out every week with fuel cost plus $ 10 for the swap. So $520 a year, $5200 in ten years for the battery. But the same battery can be reused by other EVs every day. Generating $3560 each year.

The project cost of the sodium battery pack is, roughly $4000. So sell the EV with zero upfront battery cost.

The battery cycle life is 10,000 cycles. So, the battery can be reused for about 10,000 swaps for full charge of 250 miles or $100,000 over its life. The swap fee can be a % of the full charge.

So, assume EV fill up every 200 miles $8 for fuel and $10 for battery sway compared to $26 to $30 for gas.

Of course, this assumes a large investment in battery swap infrastructure. You know like China is doing now in China and starting to do in the EU for Trucks and EVs.

Fast recharge, zero cost upfront for the battery, zero risk of battery replacement cost, higher resale value as the battery swap assures battery life to the end of life for the car. And of course high market share for EVs.

Perhaps a pipe dream for the US market.
