快速拉開差距的必勝英文作文秘訣

托福寫作滿分看學測英文作文

很多人問我托福寫作怎麼通過自學連兩次得到滿分的？

要用很艱深的單字嗎？

還是句子要寫得很長很複雜嗎？

都不是。

這樣說有沒有鬆了一口氣呢？

既不用拼命背一堆一輩子可能用不到幾次的單字；也不用荼毒小腦袋瓜去理 解難得要命的句型，頓時覺得人生露出一線曙光！

其實啊，我只不過是掌握了兩個英文做的寫核心技巧，輕鬆創造出好讀、易懂、對讀者（A.K.A閱卷人員）友善的作文。跟著我一起來試試吧！

一、跟轉承詞作好朋友

如何創造「好讀、易懂、行雲流水」般的作文呢？轉承詞(transition words)絕對是你的好幫手！我們先一起閱讀下面這兩段文字（以109學測百貨公司周年慶做舉例）：

版本一：

I like department store anniversaries. I can buy a lot of lipsticks at a lower price. One day, I went to a department store that was celebrating its anniversary, and I was very excited. I knew I could buy many new lipsticks. I saw that many people had already formed a long line. I became nervous. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to buy the lipsticks I wanted, and I realized there were so many people ahead of me. I started thinking about how I could get to the front quickly…

版本二：

I like department store anniversaries because I can buy a lot of lipstick at a lower price. One day, I went to a department store that was celebrating its anniversary, and I was very excited because I knew I could buy many new lipsticks. When I arrived, I saw that many people had already formed a long line. Naturally, I became nervous, as I was worried I wouldn’t be able to buy the lipsticks I wanted. To make matters worse, I realized there were so many people ahead of me. As a result, I started thinking about how I could get to the front quickly…

雖然兩個版本在用字、文法上都沒有太大問題，但多了轉承詞（以粗斜體呈現）的版本二讀 起來不僅順暢，更有高潮迭起的層次感，句子和句子間環環相扣、緊緊相依； 對照之下，版本一的每一句話都像是獨立且不相關的事件，看不出關聯性也不像是在描述同一時空下的某一次百貨公司週年慶的經驗；正所謂有比較有傷害，如果你是閱卷人員，是不是也覺得版本二讀起來輕鬆自在又好理解呢？

記住記住！

凡是讓閱卷人員不燒腦的作文，光是印象分數就先加分哩！

二、英文是講究邏輯的語言

相比於中文，英文是一個重架構、邏輯和說理的語言。所以說，一定要提供 supporting details 去支持/解釋你的想法、選擇或論點。切記：不要在文章中作換湯不換藥的發表（即：用不同的字重述你的想法），而是要有具體事例、細節作為證據。再來看看下面這兩段文字吧。

版本一：

Although I would form a long line for a department store anniversary, I didn’t particularly like this phenomenon. I thought that standing in a long line was a waste of time. Therefore, I admired those who were willing to wait in long lines outdoors, whether in the winter or summer. I found this very tiring and decided I would never do it myself. Instead, I would rather pay a little more to shop online than stand in a long line outside.

版本二：

Although I would stand in a long line for a department store anniversary, I didn’t like this phenomenon. First, it was a waste of time. When we were in line, we never knew how much time we would need to spend. Sometimes, by the time I finally entered the department store, the items I wanted to buy were already sold out. Second, standing in a long line is not good for our health. For example, when I waited in line during the summer, it was easy for me to get sunburned. In addition, standing for long periods made my feet sore and achy. That’s why I believe people should not waste their time waiting in line.

兩個版本都提到不喜歡排隊的原因是浪費時間，但版本一僅以一句 「I thought that standing in a long line was a waste of time.」帶過，沒有解釋「為什麼」排隊浪費時 間，後面的兩三行文字看似與主題有關，實則是濫竽充數的離題內容。反觀版本二，具體說明了浪費時間的原因（以粗字斜體呈現），並以 First 這個轉承詞帶出原因一，又以 Second 帶出原因二並佐以具體事例（以底線呈現），最後再以 That’s why I believe people should not waste their time waiting in line. 重申自己的 立場又扣回到主題。

兩個版本的篇幅差距不大，但版本二完美善用了轉承詞和 提供具體事例作為證據，成功提升了這篇作文的品質和水準。
