Numbers Again
Let’s go over it, just one more time. It would (it will) take 11 and a half days at a dollar a second to pay off a million-dollar loan. It would (it does) require 32 years to pay back a billion. After that, it gets easy: just multiply by one thousand: 32,000 years to pay off a trillion-dollar note. “We” have a couple of those. How about a quadrillion? To pay back a quadrillion dollars, at a dollar a second, would take 32 million (32,000,000) years. But if we paid it back at a hundred dollars a second, it would take a mere 320,000 years. Do the math. Rad.
