Dragon Ball Vintage Tees Are Just Cool
I’m a Japanese vintage clothing enthusiast with a deep love for American secondhand fashion.
In this blog, I’ll be sharing how Japanese collectors like me see and appreciate American vintage clothing.
First up — Dragon Ball vintage tees.

One of the most iconic characters in Dragon Ball — Vegito. And this vintage short-sleeve tee featuring him is nothing short of a masterpiece. Honestly, this design wouldn’t look out of place hanging in the Louvre.
In Japan, Vegito is considered the most powerful character in the entire Dragon Ball universe — and incredibly popular. Yet surprisingly, official merchandise featuring him is quite rare. A vintage tee with his print? That’s a real find.
The truth is, while Vegito has a massive fanbase, he doesn’t get nearly as much merchandise as the main characters like Goku or Vegeta, or whoever happens to be the focus of the latest movie. On top of that, his actual screen time in the series is limited — so he’s very much a “those who know, know” kind of character.
With all that in mind, take a look at this tee.
You could hang it right next to the Mona Lisa and it would hold its own. A character who rarely gets merchandised, yet this design is nothing short of perfect. That’s exactly what makes this piece so special.

The tag tells the whole story — this is the real deal. Based on the tag, I’d place this tee somewhere in the early 2000s.

And the size? XL. If this was made in the US, that would translate to roughly 2XL by Japanese sizing standards. The fact that it works for a wide range of people makes this find even better.
I’m pretty sure if you wore this walking down the street in America, you’d turn every head in sight. Trust me, all eyes would be on you.
That’s the magic of Japanese vintage hunting — you never know what treasure is waiting for you.
This is the kind of content I want to keep sharing. Your reactions and comments mean everything — they’re what keeps me going.
In Japanese vintage shops, we have a special way of saying goodbye.
