Brewery Owner Arrested, Accused of Statutory Rape of 13-Year-Old Girl
Sycamore Brewing has officially removed co-owner Justin Brigham from state business records following his arrest on child sex crime charges.

Sycamore Brewing’s co-owner Justin Brigham remains jailed on a $10 million bond as investigators warned on Friday that more charges could be coming in a child rape case that has sparked statewide backlash and led grocery stores to pull the brewery’s products.
Court records show that 44-year-old Justin Tawse Brigham, who co-owns Sycamore Brewing, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 11.
He’s charged with three felony charges: statutory rape of a child under 15 years of age, first-degree burglary, and indecent liberties with a child.

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office later provided more information about Brigham’s arrest.
Deputies said they responded to a 911 call at a home in the Stanfield community around midnight after Brigham was reportedly found in the girl’s bedroom by her parents.
Brigham was found completely naked in a nearby car and subsequently detained.
The sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at Brigham’s home in Charlotte.
ABC affiliate WSOC reported that Brigham and the victim talked for two weeks on a popular social media app.
The victim looked like a minor and confirmed the girl’s age during those conversations.
After his arrest, Brigham’s wife and co-owner, Sarah Taylor, released a statement, saying she is ‘devastated by the charges and the pain this has inflicted on their family and others.’
She confirmed that Brigham will no longer have any involvement in the company.
The allegations against Justin Brigham have shocked the community, with Natalie Harris stating, “I think it’s been a shock to everyone, and it’s just so awful for that girl and her family.”
