It’s Getting Kind of Full

Do you think umbrella’s are only for rain? You would be mistaken. Umbrella’s are for shade too. Do you remember in the older days, how women held an umbrella over their head for shade.

Why The Umbrellas????

Simply put, the umbrella’s are to keep the sun off of them. They were burning up and dying in the Delaware ninety degree heat.

I has been hot and blazing one week, and cooler the next.

I then went on the internet and I found these umbrellas. They shade your plants like a tree does.

I put the plants in the back garden, with the shade from the neighbors trees, and one from my own yard, but that did not work.

Critters ate my baby blueberry bush, and started digging around the bigger bushes until I had my husband dig them up and return them to my patio.

It is a little crowded and it may be more than I can handle being handicapped, but I have a lot of money in these special plants, and I just couldn’t let them die.

Let’s take a short look around shall we?

Look At My Anna Raspberry

Anna Raspberry’s have a vibrant sweet-tart flavor with floral and earthy understone. They generally are tarter than strawberries, but less sour than blackberries. The texture is juicy and delicate, featuring a hollow cores and a subtle crunch from tiny seeds.

You’ll notice the self waterer at the left side, I ordered them off the internet, and the umbrella so they don’t burn up during the 90 degree days in Delaware. Raspberries are a cool weather fruit.

Next We Have The Lime Tree

The Lime Tree is the one in the light blue pot, with the blue umbrella.

I like to try new things, and when I found this Lime Tree at the Home Improvement store, I just had to have it. I never had a lime tree, and I have to bring it in on the front porch for the Winter, so it will survive. It also has a purple windmill, and a purple windmill, and a pineapple self waterer.

Then We Have The Ruby Ann Strawberries

The two back ones by the white privacy fence, (by the way it has to cleaned too), have pink and blue umbrellas, and self waterers, and pink windmills.

Black Berry Bush

Then tucked in the corner with the in ground blackberry bush that is hanging full with berries, is the blackberry bush that is meant to be grown in a pot. It has a pineapple self waterer, and a multi-colored windmill, and is sharing the pink umbrella to keep it from burning up.

Blackberries are a warm weather fruit, so they are hearty all through the Summer. It is a baby plant still, and to tell you the truth, when I first got it, it seemed to arrive in such poor shape, I asked the company for a refund, but then Susan being Susan, I set out to save it, and does he look like he is on death's door to you?
