Beginning of a New Era

Sometimes life doesn’t give you what you want because it has something even better planned for you.

For the past week, I was quite inactive on Medium. I hadn’t posted any article or poem since last week, and today I want to tell you the reason behind it.

I was preparing for the re-NEET examination in India, and today I am happily writing this article to express how free I am feeling. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

I know I am not scoring enough to secure a government medical seat in India as a General category student. But as it is said:

“Kisi cheez ko shiddat se chaho toh poori kainaat usse tumse milane mein lag jaati hai.”

It means that if you desire something deeply enough, the whole universe starts working in your favour to help you achieve it.

And today, I want to present before you the biggest example of another saying:

“Agar mann ka hua toh achha, aur agar na hua toh aur bhi achha.”

If things happen according to your wishes, that’s wonderful. But if they don’t, it’s even better, because maybe God has something greater planned for you.

Now, I am working towards going to Georgia to pursue my medical degree, and honestly, it feels like a beautiful last-minute change.

Till May, I was convinced that I would take a drop year and prepare for NEET again. But life unfolded in such a beautiful way that now I have an opportunity that combines both of my dreams.

Since childhood, I had two dreams.

Back when I was in 7th grade, during the COVID period, sitting in a small room in a small town, I dreamed of going abroad to study after my 12th grade. At that time, I didn’t know what course or degree I wanted to pursue. But one thing was always clear in my mind – I wanted to leave India and study in Europe or the USA.

Then I entered 9th grade.

I started enjoying Biology and the medical field. The subjects fascinated me, and the thought of becoming a reason for someone else’s happiness became the biggest motivation behind my decision.

I wanted to become a doctor.

The first time I shared this dream with my parents and relatives, they all said:

“Do you know how difficult it is?”

“How will you do that?”

“It’s not easy to become a doctor.”

“It’s one of the toughest degrees.”

Listening to all of this, I got scared. What if I failed?

What if I couldn’t make it?

Before choosing PCB in 11th grade, I was terrified. Only I know how scared I was. But then a voice inside me asked: “If you give up on your dreams without even trying, how much will you regret it on your deathbed while wondering, ‘What if I had become a surgeon?’”

That thought changed everything.

I chose PCB. I started preparing for NEET.

Before May, I believed NEET was the only path to becoming a doctor. I thought that if I couldn’t crack it, my dream would shatter forever.

But destiny had other plans. It turned the tables in such a way that now both of my dreams are coming together – the dream of pursuing medicine and the dream of building a future abroad. So, I want to tell all of you something. If your inner soul is telling you to do something, don’t be scared.

Just do it.

What’s the worst that can happen?

You might fail. But trust me, it’s far better to fail than to spend your whole life regretting that you never took the first step because you were afraid of failure.

Today, I want to invite all of you to join me on this new journey. I will try to share every success, every challenge, and every difficulty I face in the world of medicine and while building a life abroad.

This is not the end of a dream.

It’s the beginning of a new era.

And I hope you’ll be there with me as I write every chapter of it. As I begin this beautiful journey, I ask for your blessings and good wishes. Knowing that so many of you are a part of this story gives me strength and courage. Here’s to new beginnings, endless hope, and dreams coming true.

See you in the next chapter. ❤️
