The Magic of the Feminine

I am an extremely feminine being. And I am learning to really value that about myself.

When you are deeply feminine by nature (regardless of gender- I’m talking about an energetic force of nature), the culture we live in tells you that you are less, that you know less, are worth less. There is a way of subconsciously disregarding what a feminine woman or being is saying… because it doesn’t fit into patriarchal standards. There is dominance, because our culture does not know how to honor the feminine as a collective. You are told many times that the way you know and what you know is wrong, or silly or foolish.

But it couldn’t be more the opposite! The feminine is the holy grail of wisdom. That receptive force of nature that knows how to go into stillness and listen and feel- she feels her way along the path rather than using logic or reason. It is this receptive, intuitive quality that is supremely feminine by nature (again, not gender specific, purely a force of nature). The feminine receives… information, insight, wisdom, guidance…

I need my masculine side (that I have learned to develop more over the years) to protect and look out for this aspect of myself… and to act upon her insights and wisdom… oh, but how lovely when I can lay it to rest.

We live in a world that is too dominated by the masculine way of being, thinking, knowing and experiencing the world. It’s out of balance, so it isn’t working very well! Men suffer and women suffer…

And finally… I am owning it…

I love the magic of being a very feminine woman…. because I hold the keys to our collective rebalancing within my very being. My task is to always remember to cherish and value it, no matter what the outside world is telling me. If I know it enough inside myself, and express and play and sing out my secrets… it’s the beginning of tiny revolutionary moments in everyday life.

In truth, it is the feminine we are all longing for- we can feel we are out of balance. We yearn for connection to each other and ourselves, we yearn to hear the subtle wisdom deep inside our hearts and bodies.

Why would we ever stop exploring and talking about this? It’s an infinite world of mystery (i.e.: the mystic) — and the feminine (within both men and women, within any/all genders) receives this kind of information. It’s our sensitive, feeling nature that is receptive to that data.

I don’t want to work to prove myself in the man’s way… I want to chart my own path from the inside out… from deep within the recesses of my feminine nature.

And I also need to apologize to myself… for taking this long… to recognize this worth.
