The Knife That Wouldn’t Cut

A Message About Purpose and Readiness

Beautiful soul walking by my side, I’m sorry I didn’t have a post ready for you early Saturday morning.

Baseball mom after all, and today came with good news and bad news. Bad news: we lost. Good news: we didn’t have to stay an extra two hours for another game.

So here I am, sharing my message with as much ease and grace as possible. Better late than never…. right?

I watched on Friday as my boss struggled with an oil bottle tightly wrapped in small bubble wrap and layers of heavy clear tape.

Every knife he grabbed failed him. One after another. And every time he repeated the same phrase as a mantra, he didn’t know he was chanting:

🔪🔪“What good is a knife if it won’t cut?”🔪🔪

Along with some curse words, I decided not to add. 🤯

He said it out of frustration. But I heard it as a message for me and those walking beside me. After all you know the saying “Third time’s the charm.”

By the way, has the number 3 been showing up in your energy? It has in mine mixed with my dad's number.

Angel Number 3: The Whisper of Creation, Confidence, and Divine Companionship.

Before continuing, take a deep breath and tune in to what your spirit is whispering to you right now. Sit with this statement: “What good is a knife if it won’t cut?”

I did my research after one thought kept repeating in my mind: What good are my gifts if I don’t use them?

And honestly, I still don’t know exactly where to go or what to do next. So, for now, I’m waiting for that gentle nudge from Spirit.

While I wait, I’m continuing to learn from people who have already walked this path. I know I’m meant to do something meaningful. Sharing my story was one part of it, but it’s not the whole assignment.

So, I’m staying loyal to my path, staying open, listening closely, and paying attention to every message that comes my way.

If there’s one thing I know about my spirit team and now my father, it’s that they are always working behind the scenes. Patiently. Quietly. Consistently. When it’s time for me to take my next step, they’ll make sure I know it.

My job for now is to stay present, stay mindful, and do the best I can with the abilities this granny has been given.

I know from past experiences that the guidance and the reveal always come when I’m truly ready to receive them. 😉

Whispers from a knife that just won’t cut:

• Purpose unfulfilled — A knife that won’t cut is a tool out of alignment. A life that won’t move forward feels the same.

• Energy exchange — If something in your life isn’t giving what it’s meant to give, why keep holding it

• Truth revealed — A dull blade looks sharp until you test it. People and situations do too.

• Time to sharpen — When the tool is dull, you don’t blame the bottle. You sharpen the blade.

I’m not sure about you, but some of these I can definitely apply to my life. Still, my first instinct is the one I’ll honor. Hopefully, you took a moment to connect with that message and see what your spirit is trying to tell you. Nothing happens by coincidence, always remember that.

Spirit was saying:

Stop forcing what isn’t working.

Stop expecting what isn’t being given.

Stop carrying what has lost its purpose.

Time to finally put into practice all the things you’ve had sitting on the back burner.

This granny has so much on her burner she forgot what half of them even are, but one day, I’m sure I’ll REMEMBER.

2 Timothy 1:6

“Therefore, I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you.”
