I’ll get straight to the point…
The universe told me to say this to you before it’s too late.
It keeps watching you go through life and says you’re like a dowser with a little stick — except instead of looking for water, you’re looking for problems… and obviously, you find them :-)
With these little pieces of advice from the universe, things will get better.
So pay close attention.
1. On the Law of Attraction
“We chase what flees and flee from what chases us.” — The Universe
The universe wants you to know that forcing things pushes them away instead of attracting them. That’s why so many spiritual gurus (especially the ones who know the least about spirituality :-) keep posting on Instagram lines like “Detach from the outcome.”
It’s good advice, but it’s worth understanding why it works: “The Law of Attraction is the Law of Seduction.”
The less you need something, the more you attract it. The more you need it, the more you reek of desperation and the more you push it away.
- Forcing and chasing = force.
- Seducing, not needing, and detaching from the outcome = power.
As Dr. David R. Hawkins explains in Power vs. Force, force comes from lower levels of consciousness (below 200 on his scale). It’s based on fear, manipulation, control, and a win-lose mentality. It may seem effective at first, but it creates resistance, exhaustion, and more conflict.
Power, on the other hand, comes from higher levels of consciousness (from Courage upward to Enlightenment). It’s quiet, non-coercive, and arises from alignment with truth, love, and integrity. It doesn’t force — it attracts.
Force depletes. Power expands.
2. On the Present Moment
“Stop creating apocalyptic scenarios in your head.” — The Universe
Do you know why you always get pissed off in a traffic jam, in the supermarket line, or any situation where you have to wait?
Because you’re not actually there in the traffic jam, in the checkout line, or anywhere you’re waiting.
You’re in at least half a dozen places at once.
Instead of, for example, sitting in that traffic jam listening to your favorite music, feeling your body sink into the cushioned seat, enjoying the air conditioning on your face, and savoring a few quiet minutes to yourself with no one bothering you (which is actually pretty awesome if you think about it)…
You mentally teleport to your office and yell at your boss’s face what you really think of him, the clients, and that coworker in the next cubicle who always gets way too close and whose breath smells like garlic.
Then… you zap over to your house and start arguing with your partner because you didn’t get home in time to do your share of the chores, or because you’re not spending enough time with the kids, or whatever else they decide to throw at you — until the vein in your forehead is throbbing, your face turns red, and you feel like your skull is about to explode.
Finally… you put on your accountant hat and start making a list of possible bills and unlikely expenses while your heart beats faster and faster as you picture your savings account shrinking.
So yeah, you’re honking the horn and screaming like a maniac in the middle of traffic.
But you’re not upset because of the traffic jam — you’re upset because you’ve visited half a dozen personal hells in your mind while waiting for the cars to start moving again.
3. On Other People
“Don’t focus on what they say, focus on what they’re trying to tell you.” — The Universe
What you hear is usually an echo of the other person’s inner world.
That’s why sometimes people respond in a hostile or aggressive way that seems completely uncalled for. Without realizing it, you accidentally brushed against an old emotional bruise or wound they carry inside — especially their inner child.
Direct your attention not to how they say it, but to what they’re really saying.
Behind the sharp tone there’s almost always pain or insecurity, not a personal attack.
Examples,
- You say lovingly, “Good morning, I see you made coffee. Can you pour me one too?” They answer sarcastically: “Sure! I’m always here to serve you!” → It’s not about the coffee. Your partner is hurt because they feel their emotional needs are being ignored. It’s a hurting soul screaming for attention.
- In a meeting you suggest, “I think we could try doing it this other way.” Someone snaps back, raising their voice: “Of course, let’s do it your way!” → You unintentionally touched their fear of being incompetent or being replaced (a wound around worth or recognition).
- A friend calls to make weekend plans and you reply, “Hey, I’m kind of swamped this weekend. Can we do it next one?” Before hanging up they hit you with something passive-aggressive like: “Great, don’t worry… I’ll just go to the movies by myself.” → It’s not about you. You brushed against their abandonment wound or their deep belief that “I’m not important to anyone.”
Moral: When someone reacts with disproportionate hostility, it’s almost never about you. It’s about their story, their insecurities, and their unhealed wounds. Understanding this frees you from taking on guilt that isn’t yours and lets you respond with compassion instead of defensiveness.
It’s not about excusing bad behavior — it’s about not taking it personally. See the pain behind it, protect your peace, and, when possible, respond with empathy.
That’s real emotional intelligence (the kind that will take you far).
If you follow these three little pieces of advice from the universe, you’ll save yourself from a life full of unnecessary suffering and help the people around you feel better too.
A virtual hug from the universe and from me :-)
