When Sensibilities Collide

On the one hand, I write vulnerable and tender poetry, born of passion and sentimentality.
On the other hand, I am compelled to write damning and pontifical prose and poetry, born of great sorrow, angst, and misery.
Many conflictions I’ve yet to weigh, covering the emotive spectrum from yellow to gloomy gray.
Polity and poetry are a perplexing mix. A bit of both will satisfy this poet's sensibility and indulge his discontent of the chaos of politics.
My rule as a purveyor of poetry and prose is to embrace all notions without bias and express their highs and lows.
Words do often confuse and confound So I mull ’em over, and I roll ’em around Like a marble, unsure of where it’s bound I too, am searchin’ for some level ground
