Is anyone aware that humans are also buying their death with many household items?

I was reading an article where the writer was saying that by 2035, 350 million people worldwide would have cancer. My instincts wondered, “How could he have known that?”

Where Is Formaldehyde Found?

Google says:

Yes, formaldehyde can be found in air fresheners. It’s one of many volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are emitted by air fresheners.

I lived with three asthmatics and couldn’t use air fresheners or certain fragrances in my house. It triggers their asthma attacks. I didn’t know why. Now I know.

How does formaldehyde get into the air?

• Air fresheners emit VOCs directly, and they can also react with other chemicals in the air to create secondary pollutants.
• The amount of VOCs emitted depends on the fragrance of the air freshener.
• It can be hard to know what’s in air fresheners because manufacturers aren’t required to list all ingredients.

What are VOCs?

Google says that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are a group of chemicals that evaporate easily and are released into the air from products and processes.

Formaldehyde is also found in:

• Resins used in the manufacture of composite wood products (i.e., hardwood plywood, particleboard and medium-density fiberboard);
• Building materials and insulation;
• Household products such as glues, permanent press fabrics, paints and coatings, lacquers and finishes, and paper products;
• Preservatives used in some medicines, cosmetics, and other consumer products such as dishwashing liquids and fabric softeners; and
• Fertilizers and pesticides.

What the hell! They are really killing us.

Now I know why they can predict how many people will develop cancer in the future. They are using products banned in other countries to contribute to cancer deaths.

How could the government department in charge of our Health allow this to happen?

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is part of the World Health Organization (WHO). One of its major goals is to identify causes of cancer. IARC has concluded that formaldehyde is “carcinogenic to humans” based on sufficient evidence it can cause nasopharyngeal cancer and leukemia.

It is a byproduct of combustion and certain other natural processes, and so is also found in:

• Emissions from un-vented, fuel-burning appliances, like gas stoves or kerosene space heaters, and
• Cigarette smoke.

Google says that:

• Formaldehyde can cause allergic reactions in the skin, such as an itchy, red rash that may become raised or develop blisters
• In high enough doses, formaldehyde is a carcinogen

Regulation

• Formaldehyde is restricted in personal care products in the EU
• Canada has concentration restrictions on formaldehyde

What restriction does the US place on formaldehyde?

Are these companies allowed to put the names of all of the ingredients in the product they are selling on the container?
