Beyond Hiring: How Oracle AI Agents Empower Recruiters in Their Day-to-Day Work

In today’s world, recruiters face challenges at every phase of hiring - right from creation of a Job requisition until Creation of Job Offer.

Creating a requisition that aligns with policies, getting approvals right, structuring offers correctly — these are critical steps. And yet, they often rely heavily on manual effort, experience, and back-and-forth clarification.

With AI Agents embedded directly into Redwood workflows, recruiters are no longer expected to “figure things out”. Instead, they are guided in real time while performing their day-to-day activities.

In this blog, I’ll focus on two such capabilities:

  • Job Requisition Creation Advisor
  • Job Offer Creation Advisor

Note: Both are designed not to replace recruiters — but to support them at the point where decisions matter most.

1. Job Requisition Creation Advisor: Getting It Right from the Start

Creating a job requisition is more than just filling fields — it’s about aligning roles, grades, salary ranges, and organisational policies.

The Job Requisition Creation Agent, available through AI Agent Studio in the Redwood experience, works as an embedded assistant during requisition creation.

It follows a simple but powerful approach:

  • Acts like an FAQ-style assistant
  • Answers both general and field-level questions
  • Uses organisation-specific documents and configured prompts

The quality of responses depends entirely on the documents and knowledge sources configured for the agent, making it a highly tailored solution for each organisation.

For example, a recruiter can ask:

  • What is the typical salary grade for this role?
  • Which recruiter is assigned for a specific location?
  • Can a job grade be adjusted later?

Instead of switching between systems or asking colleagues, answers are available within the workflow itself.

Why This Matters

Requisition errors often create downstream issues — incorrect approvals, misaligned offers, or rework later in the process.

Oracle addresses this by ensuring:

  • Recruiters enter accurate and policy-aligned information
  • Data is captured correctly the first time
  • Requisition creation becomes smoother and more efficient

These agents don’t automate decisions independently but assist recruiters by providing context-aware guidance based on configured organisational knowledge.

2. Job Offer Creation Advisor: Reducing Complexity at the Final Step

If requisition creation sets the foundation, offer creation is where precision becomes critical.

The Job Offer Creation Agent supports recruiters throughout the offer creation process in Redwood by providing contextual guidance while entering offer details.

Similar to the requisition agent, it:

  • Acts as an FAQ-based assistant
  • Provides answers related to offer, compensation, and policy queries
  • Uses uploaded documents to ensure responses are organisation-specific

Just like the requisition agent, the quality of responses depends on the documents configured, making the guidance specific to each organisation’s policies and practices.

Recruiters can ask questions such as:

  • Can I change the proposed start date after an offer is extended?
  • What is the salary range for this role?
  • Which offer letter should be used?

Enhancing the Offer Creation Experience

The Redwood experience brings additional flexibility:

  • Recruiters can complete sections in any order
  • Job offers can be saved and submitted later
  • Offer previews are available during creation

With AI assistance integrated into this flow, users can:

  • Complete the offer without interruption
  • Enter the right data confidently
  • Avoid downstream corrections

Why This Matters

Offer creation often involves:

  • Compensation policies
  • Regional rules
  • Internal transfer scenarios

Mistakes here are costly — both operationally and in candidate experience.

The AI agent helps ensure:

  • Offers are created accurately and consistently
  • Recruiters rely less on manual validation
  • Time spent on rework is significantly reduced

Similar to requisition creation, this agent provides guidance rather than automation — ensuring decisions remain with the recruiter while being better informed.

Basic Setup and Enablement

Both agents are built using AI Agent Studio and follow a similar enablement approach:

  • Create the agent using preconfigured templates in AI Agent Studio
  • Upload organisation-specific documents (e.g., policies, salary guides, FAQs)
  • Configure prompts to guide responses
  • Run document ingestion processes to make knowledge available
  • Enable required security and roles
  • Set profile option: ORA_ASE_SAS_INTEGRATION_ENABLED = Yes

Access to these agents is governed by roles and privileges, meaning usage can be controlled and tailored to specific user groups.

A Larger Shift: AI Embedded in Recruiter Workflows

What stands out across both these agents is not just the functionality — but the design philosophy.

AI is no longer:

  • A chatbot on the side
  • Or a separate tool for insights

It is now:

➡️ Embedded directly into Redwood transaction flows ➡️ Enabled as workflow agents within guided journeys ➡️ Available exactly when recruiters need it ➡️ Driven by organisation-specific knowledge

To Summarize:

Oracle’s approach with these AI agents is subtle but impactful.

These agents don’t automate decisions independently but assist recruiters by providing context-aware guidance based on configured organisational knowledge

Instead of introducing entirely new processes, it enhances existing ones — making everyday tasks:

  • More accurate
  • More efficient
  • Less dependent on manual validation

For recruiters, this means spending less time navigating complexity — and more time focusing on what truly matters: engaging with the right talent.
