Questioning Faith and Security: The Contradictions of Modern Preachers
If someone says they aren’t afraid of death, why do they have a security team? Make it make sense. Does one really not fear death, or is it just a great speech? Either you’re covered by the blood or you’re not. Either you believe it, or you don’t. If the spiritual leader/preacher/teacher doesn’t believe what they’re preaching, neither will you.

The Contradictions of Faith and Fear
When a spiritual leader or as I like to refer to them “wolves in sheep's clothing,” claims to be unafraid of death but surrounds themselves with a security team, it raises questions. This contradiction suggests a lack of genuine belief in their own teachings. Faith in God’s protection should be unwavering, yet the presence of security implies otherwise.
Importance of Personal Belief
This is why it’s crucial to place your belief and understanding within the confinements of your own mind, spirit, and soul. Your preacher can’t save you. Reflect on the last time you saw them genuinely pray for the people — if you even have. How can they guide you spiritually when they rarely communicate with God? Their distance from the congregation becomes evident through the words they speak, often guessing at your troubles instead of knowing them.
Fellowship and Genuine Connection
If these leaders truly engaged with their congregation and fostered genuine fellowship, they would have a better understanding of their flock’s needs and struggles. Instead, many are too preoccupied with maintaining appearances and control. Well, let’s just say it they are in everyone else’s business except the people sitting in their local assembly.
Seek a Church that Feeds Your Spirit
It’s essential to seek a church that feeds your spirit rather than one filled with sensationalized performances. Look for a place where the focus is on genuine spiritual growth and connection with God, not on theatrics designed to silence dissent and maintain power.
If a spiritual leader preaches fearlessness but hides behind a security team, it’s time to question the authenticity of their faith. True belief in God’s protection should be evident in their actions. Place your belief and understanding within your own mind, spirit, and soul. Seek out leaders who genuinely connect with and care for their congregation and find a church that nourishes your faith rather than offering empty performances. Ultimately, your spiritual journey is personal, and your connection with God should be based on genuine faith and understanding.
