Pouria Mazareh: A Decade of Advertising Production Across Iran, Turkey, and Germany

From teaching Photoshop at 18 to directing satellite TV commercials — a creative director’s journey.

My name is Pouria Mazareh. I’m a creative director, advertising producer, and actor based in Tehran — and for the past decade, I’ve been building brands, directing commercials, and leading creative teams across three countries.

I started teaching myself Photoshop at 16 from a physical book, with limited internet and no formal instruction. By 18, I was teaching it to adults at a technical institute while finishing high school. That early experience — figuring things out without a roadmap — shaped how I approach every project since.

Building from zero

My first serious creative role was at Persian Star Group in Alanya, Turkey. I joined a real estate company with no digital presence — no Instagram, no website, no marketing infrastructure — and built it from the ground up. I launched their social media, rebuilt their website, and left them with a functioning marketing operation where none had existed before.

That pattern repeated itself throughout my career. I don’t just execute — I build.

Directing for broadcast

Between 2022 and 2024, I served as Head of Creative Production at Paradise Alanya. In that role, I directed four satellite television commercials broadcast on ITN and GEM channels, produced over 700 real estate and promotional videos, and grew a creative team of five people from scratch. The company’s social media growth during this period contributed directly to the opening of a second branch and a new Istanbul office.

Music and film

Parallel to my commercial work, I directed two music videos for Iranian artist Rossana Music — Tavalod and Aroom Aroom — both released internationally via Radio Javan and YouTube. Every frame was crafted through composition, lighting, and practical effects. No shortcuts.

Performance results

At Topick Shop, an Iranian e-commerce brand, I led a team of seven and managed the full digital marketing operation. In eight months, I grew their Instagram from 235,000 to 400,000+ followers, increased monthly page views from 20,000 to 500,000, and improved engagement rate from 0.4% to 1.3%.

LIKEMAZ

Today I operate under the brand LIKEMAZ — a creative production studio delivering advertising, brand identity, and AI-enhanced content for clients across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. The name represents a simple principle: every creative decision should serve a measurable business goal.

I integrate AI tools — Runway ML, Kling AI, Midjourney — into professional production workflows as a creative accelerator. The judgment, strategy, and direction remain human.

Where I’m headed

I’m currently open to full-time creative roles in Europe — as a Creative Director, Head of Content, or Advertising Producer — while continuing to serve international clients through LIKEMAZ.
