Motive of the Assassination of John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald.
The assassination of John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald was one of the most intense and tragic in the history of the United States. Many have questioned and speculated about why the gunman Oswald killed the Irish president. The most prominent reason was Oswald’s passion for Marxism.
Born on October 18th, 1939, Oswald grew up at the bottom of society, his father died before he was born, and during his early childhood he lived in orphanages. In his high school years he barely attended classes but one passion flourished. He developed a deep cause for socialism. He wrote to the socialist party of America, sharing his interest in socialism but they rejected him pointing out that his ideas were strange and unsatisfactory. He dropped out of high school in 1956.
Oswald joined the Marines, where he became an above average shooter. He was discharged due to bad behavior such as use of an unauthorized weapon and fighting an officer. In his 3 years in the marines, he developed a love for communism. He taught himself to read, write and speak Russian. In 1959 after his service was over in the Marines, he moved to the U.S.S.R. Later he would move back to the U.S., preferring the American quality of life.
Now, his views had changed to supporting Marxism. Returning to the US, he was rejected from many jobs and fired often for his bad behavior, store owners said he was extremely difficult to work with. This fueled his love for communism further as communist principles believe that every man has the right to a stable source of work. Being brought up in the bottom of society, this fueled Oswald to change society as a whole, wanting to make something of himself.
On April 10 1963 he would attempt to kill retired general Edwin Walker, a fervent anti communist. He fired his shots from a window, yet missed. However, Oswald had not given up. To change the world, John F. Kennedy became the perfect target. To kill J.F.K. would greatly benefit socialism, communism and Marxism around the world. J.F.K. was hard on Castro in Cuba. He tried to invade the country in 1961 with the Bay of Pigs invasion, yet failed. His administration cut off trade to the island, causing hurt to Cuba’s economy and development. Aswell, J.F.K. was a supporter of the vicious President Diem of South Vietnam, who greatly rejected North Vietnam and their attempts to make all of Vietnam whole again under communism. J.F.K. had also battled Khrushchev, the leader of the U.S.S.R., making him back down on having nuclear weapons in Cuba forcing him to remove the already installed, causing embarrassment of the U.S.S.R. upon the world stage during the Cold War. J.F.K. was truly a supporter of the Truman doctrine.
For Oswald, a simple man and an oppressed member of society, in his world view of what was great, he could touch fame and prosperity for the world if he killed J.F.K. J.F.K. was shot by Oswald and died on the 22nd of November, 1963 at 12:30 p.m. C.T. The motive of Oswald in his murder was for the benefit of world Marxism.
