It’s Called Character Development

I keep ignoring calls from Warner Bros. and Disney

We’ve had the luxury of iconic movie characters like Marty McFly and Luke Skywalker on our screens for years now.

When was the last time you watched a movie and were genuinely blown away by how awesome the main character is?

I don’t even remember feeling that way about anything that came out after the turn of the century.

That is why I present to you a few original characters that I think would become fan-favourites overnight.

Gen Zebra

Olivia Ferris is your typical mild-mannered 20-something who pursues TikTok as a career choice.

By day, she’s a world-famous streamer.

By night, she’s a crime-fighting zebra.

Similar to the concept of a werewolf, Olivia’s transition happens in an unsightly fashion every night upon the arrival of the moon in the sky.

You see, she never knew her father, Dennis, and the little she knew about him pertained to the science of mutating zebra DNA to enhance human survival for the much-speculated apocalypse.

He secretly experimented on his daughter – not expecting it to work.

The problem was that every major DNA lab was after this serum – thinking that Dennis Ferris was the only one who knew any real information about its origins.

Unfortunately for Dennis, he passed away in a freak accident involving a clown car, a blow torch and the Spanish mafia.

As Olivia learns about her father’s past, she figures out how to hone her powers as a zebra and put an end to the war her dad was caught in the middle of before he kicked the bucket.

Author’s Casting Call for the Lead Role: Sydney Sweeney

Oklahoma Bones

Oklahoma Bones is a palaeontologist during the Cuban missile crisis in the 1960s.

It’s obvious where he’s from… you guessed it… Florida.

So, while caught in the crossfire among the Soviets, Americans and Cubans at this time in history, Oklahoma is the only one stepping up to get in the way of all this pandemonium.

You see, America, the Soviet Union and Cuba aren’t exactly neighbouring countries.

One would have to travel via a seafaring vessel to arrive at any of those destinations from one or the other.

How does one accomplish that?

Burning fossil fuels.

Oklahoma Bones is preventing these nations from digging up the fossils of various dinosaurs to convert the material into fuel for their modes of transportation.

On many occasions, Oklahoma will say his catchphrase, “It deserves to be preserved!”

One could definitely turn this into a trilogy and then return to it twice more, 37 and 52 years after the original, respectively.

Princess Breach

Princess Breach is from the Brushroom Kingdom.

No one knows she’s there, so no one comes to save her.

One day, enough is enough, and she finds a portal gun in a hidden hatch in the castle, and she finally realizes why she was named Princess Breach in the first place.

She was meant to find this portal gun.

Feeling destined made her wonder if she was this fortunate in other dimensions throughout the multiverse.

Princess Breach embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

She encounters a variant of herself who has evolved into an advanced fish/human hybrid situation due to rising sea levels.

On another world, there’s an autocratic cat version of her.

There’s the world where geriatric spider-dogs unironically can’t comprehend the concept of Schrödinger’s cat.

Of course, there’s the world where Eric Stoltz never lost the role of Marty McFly.

Lastly, Princess Breach’s journey took her to a world where people paid a tax for doing anything that was considered silly, stupid or dumb before going back to her Brushroom Kingdom.

She learns that there’s only one Princess Breach and that being an angry drunk about that fact is okay.

Author’s Casting Call for the Lead Role: Anne Hathaway

I bet you’d want to see these on the big screen, don’t you?

These would definitely be blockbuster movies capable of raking in billions of dollars at the box office.
