Grand Explore is a malicious program that hijacks your browser homepage and search engine and displays unwanted advertisements not originating from your browsing sites. When installed on a computer, the Grand Explorer browser hijacker will redirect your browser search queries through shady search engines. Grand Explorer will also open new tabs in the browser that display advertisements trying to sell software, push fake software updates, and tech support scams. So it installs itself with another app called Taskbarify (Adware). Now they are running in the background and slow down your PC until its unusable apps can’t open; it closes every role needing administrative privileges, including CMD. If you try to uninstall Grand Explorer, it will uninstall but, within minutes, will reinstall itself due to the files executed into the registry, services and extension to your browser that downloads it from the malicious website. In this state, removing the Grand Explorer and the browser extension will crash your PC, and you’ll return to square zero. I was stranded for hours; Malwarebytes couldn’t detect the adware; the only antivirus I found was spyhunter5; I also ran Rkill, which is a program that stops malicious programs from running in the background; this will help improve the responsiveness of the PC. I got the seven days trial for spyhunter5 and ran the scan; It saw all the adware and Trojans on my PC. It started cleaning up the adware; however, when it tried to remove Taskbarify, it left trojans while being uninstalled, so when I did a rescan, I say the adware left behind two trojans (I’m not sure how Trojans were released), I rescanned, and the Trojans were gone. One thing that saved me was I had all my files encrypted, and I don’t know whether this Malware can encrypt data. I just decided to share my experience with this new Malware; unfortunately, this Malware can bypass most antiviruses. I hope Antivirus companies can look at this Malware. I hope this will be of help, and be careful out there!
