How I Enrich My Life with Plant Knowledge?

I have developed my plant knowledge with love and dedication.

Nothing comes without effort.

As an immigrant in the USA, I initially found myself in a biome (chaparral), I had only read about in geography books. When I came here in 2011, I was astonished to realize how little I knew about the local plants.

It felt unacceptable, so I dedicated a year to learning and identifying the plants around me.

By the end of that year, something magical happened — I could identify most plants. I was even in a position to teach others.

Now, my young kids know all the plants as I regularly point out to them.

My life has been enriched because of this connection to plants. I want people to love plants and be enriched too.

So, let’s explore some amazing plants:

Matilija Poppy: A native plant of California. It was a surprise to learn it was a state plant contender, but the California Poppy won the title.

Prickly Pear: Abundant and a key player in sustaining the ecosystem. We often see them on hills and canyon of the chaparral.

Plant love is so fulfilling. Try it, and see negativities vanish from life.

One major goal of human life is to appreciate nature.
