In the Foxhole — The Dallas Cowboys

I am one of the fans of the “bleak” Dallas Cowboys. Embarrassing as it may be, no doubt — I’m hopeful they’ll win tomorrow. The reality is — they have a forty-five percent chance. Directly after last week’s game, I was too sick to watch football. Distinctively, I decided I would be robust and move into something more prosperous like other Cowboy confabulators. Ya got the fanatics. Ya got the apathetic ones. The realists — you won’t hear from. Sure… Sure… Let’s bring up the delusional, optimistic ones. I’ve been there. Done that.

“Rico. You got your team to support you. Tell us how you did that.” He really came on last year. But it’s clear he resents the Cowboys. Is it just me or are the skeptic ones quiet, and the fanatics are the ones looking to pick a coach to put on the hot seat? Just saying — it looks like they’ve talked us into it.

Do we have a Flus problem? Are the players not good enough? I understand Jerry said he’d rather be in the foxhole with someone with the experiences of great successes and failures that Eberflus has had. But it’s more that Jerry rather be in the foxhole with someone he knows.

It’s clear the defensive scheme needs smart, fast, and elite players at each position. We don’t have them! Consistently, the players have stopped the run and tackled well… and, frequently blown coverages.

Let’s give credit to the Joneses and the team for making tough decisions on Parsons and Diggs… and, bringing in Clark. They put a stop to social maladies that those two were conjuring in the locker room.

To me, it’s not a Flus problem. It’s an organizational structural problem. I’m not the one that says, “let’s get rid of the owner.” If the owner wasn’t Jerry Jones, most likely, I’d never have joined the bandwagon in ‘93.

As this saga continues, let’s look forward to tomorrow. We have an astonishing offense. Good players are coming back from injury. We’re playing at home. Changes have taken place in the defense. Let’s go! How bout dem Cowboys!
