What is a childless mom mentor? A childless mom mentor is a women who is not a mother physically but can teach motherly values, instincts and guidance. She can because:

She’s knowledge.

She’s positive.

She provides emotional, spiritual, and physical support just like any experienced mother would.

Who are childless mom mentors?

Childless mom mentors can be:

• Teachers
• Foster parents
• Adoptive parents
• Business women
• Nurses
• Celebrities/Public figures
• Doctors
• Lawyers
• Social workers
• Any woman who processes compassion, love, and a spirit of giving.

She doesn’t need lived experience to help

Many childless mom mentors are leaders in their communities. They can give women with children fresh insights and perspectives regardless if whether are mothers themselves. The issue is the power of positive advice, not being a mother herself.

She has a listening ear without the motherhood experience

Many childless mom mentors won’t judge or compare themselves to physical mothers. They can provide emotional support to mothers who find motherhood overwhelming. Many mothers sometimes just want to vent to non-parents about mothering without any shame or guilt for doing so. Childless mom mentors can provide an outlet for them to speak freely about the concerns of motherhood.

Any woman can be a mentor, especially a childless one

Can any woman be a mentor? How can women without children give parenting advice? Women who choose not to have or can’t bear children can and due process motherly instincts. These types of women can have the greatest abilities to care for, help, support, and protect the children of others when given the chance.

Don’t underestimate them.

God has given us all some good insight and maternal instincts. It is how we use what we have to guide others with our knowledge that makes the difference.

Good advice is good advice, no matter the source

Pay attention to the women in your life, with or without children. Anyone can give wise counsel.

Mentoring is a calling.

Childless mom mentor women like Oprah Winfrey, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dolly Parton, and other childless women in our own lives, have helped many women and children without having children of their own.

If you get a chance to mentor or be mentored by someone, take it.

God places people in your life for a reason, to help you. Don’t let the fact that some women who don’t have children change how you feel about getting help from them.

There are Mom Mentor groups and programs you can join. Or you can take heed of those people you know personally in your life who can help.

Don’t miss out on something great because you don’t think they think can help. They can and they will.

We all respond to respect no matter what form it comes.

I was a Sunday school teacher without children of my own for a long time. I mentored the mothers and their children. It was a great endeavor and a great calling that I would never take back.

Being a mentor is a great responsibility. And a childless mom mentor has plenty to offer.

The motherly role is a role any woman can play.
