That’s 11 weeks of no school! That’s a l-o-n-g summer break!
(We have 6 weeks summer holiday around December — January in Australia.) Ed. note.
When my kids were at school, our summer holidays were spent in and out of our pool. Often the kids’ friends would descend to join the fun and “Marco Polo”.
Summer was our busiest season in the pest control business so I didn’t go far from the phone. So we never went anywhere. After leaving my husband and that business, I took advantage of those school holidays to see Europe in winter. And I’ve never looked back.
