- With the increasing number of long-haul flights, more patients are experiencing syncope during or after prolonged air travel, particularly after extended periods of immobility in airplane seating. Investigating the association between syncope and electrocardiographic parameters — such as heart rhythm variability — may represent a clinically meaningful and novel research direction.
